I tamed a Glaucus the other day it ran on land a glitched trying to bite my saber so killing it was easy then it just drops the egg and runs. The highest level I ran into was a level 210

Tame the glaucos soon! All you need is a basilo to negate its stun attack. Then it’ll drop an egg that you raise in water. Then feed baby biotoxin and boom

Even in ASE the water fog is just to unpleasant to even want to deal with the sea areas. So I can't blame you for just turning it off dince wildcard seems to be refusing to reduce how oppressive it is.

Personally I like the tension when playing or watching this game. Without it, it just becomes (just) a collecting game. The game isn't perfect, so you have to keep it interesting for yourself and the audience. For example, ditching flyers, or not taming the highest level creature. The whole idea of the mist is to keep mosa's and other deep sea creatures a threat.

40:51 implies that you can change the levels of fog you get, 0 being no fog. Never played with it, but if you can control the level maybe not so foggy but just foggy enough to leave mystery further out. Just an idea. Ultimately I'm for Zero Fog. It's easier for me who only watches videos of ARK and Mods in general are a lil cheeky so we've already crossed the bridge so to speak.

The Scuba Goggles actually increase your visibility by a TON on the center. It's not as good as getting rid of the fog, but it is a super noticable difference IMO.

I have no problems with leaving the fog off in the oceans, it is nice to be able to see and enjoy the detail of the ocean and increases your enjoyment. As for a sarco name, I like Nanna since the "lipstick" looks like something a grandmother would do

You know on the topic of ocean visibility, doesn't the shastasaurus have sonar that lets you ping nearby creatures? It's saddle is a tek saddle, so I think it would make sense if the sonar was an actual sonar blip that let you make out the shape of your surroundings, I think that would be so cool

Great creatures with unique taming methods, some of which almost on par with ark additions' better creatures (some id say are better than certain AA ones imo). Hi Syntac and TY for a great video! I am cool with no fog or whatever you wish to disable. I use these command because I really don't need all the extra fog, volumetric jazz, and etc. r.VolumetricCloud 0 r.ShadowQuality 0 r.volumetricfog 0 r.MaterialQualityLevel 0 r.Water.SingleLayer.Reflection 0 grass.sizeScale 0 When ASA first came out I played with all the graphic stuff enabled for about a month then starting using these command. The server I visit has Glaucus and of course Xiphactinus is there by default. That is enough for me to justify the setting I use. God bless you and your family! 🙂

Fog topic: i think it would be funny to keep the fog on if you're not doin something in the ocean. e.g. traveling to the next island. So the oceans stays kinda scary and you need to be careful to not get jumped by anything. But if you do something in the ocean for a longer time in the video, turn it off. It looks so much better without the fog.

For the Glaucus taming I'd say get a basi or archelon because it has a mean stun attack and those two mounts will help. But other than that, you should be able to do it easily, it's not hard just need to get a good tame for the fight.

Scuba goggles work for me. They don't remove 100% of the fog, but they shouldn't. The ocean should be a bit scary and intimidating.
