My #1 Tip for this thing if you haven't figured it out yet Level up your Gigantoraptor 88 times Basically max it out to get the 100% Taming bonus on babies #2 Tip you cannot pickup higher level babies than the Gigantoraptor's own level

These creatures are so OP. You can kill any parent and take their babies while getting the same bonus you'd get from taming the parent while also getting imprint. Except that you can get 100% effectiveness rather than 99.

@@raphaeljoseph1645im pretty sure its based on your taming effectiveness and levels you put into it combined mutations dont matter except for the fact that you can only imprint lower level babies with it

To get 100% tame effectiveness on babies you claim with a Gigantoraptor it needs to have full 100% tame effectiveness itself (which any bred individuals will have) and the full 88 post-tame levels. So you gots to get a bred one and let it get all those levels if you want a perfect baby snatcher.

one thing you NEEED to be aware of, the bonus levels you get are tired to how much the Giganto is leveled up. you wont get full bonus levels until your raptor is maxed out on its levels.

I also believe you need a perfect tame on the gigantoraptor too. The gigantoraptor also has to a higher level then the baby you want to claim. An interesting fact, you only need to tame a level 45 gigantoraptor to start. Once it gets the bonus levels from taming, and the 88 level up levels, it will be over level 150 and you can claim any 150 level baby with it and get full bonus levels, including other gigantoraptors.

Immersive Taming mod on ASE was SO much fun! I think WC took notes from that because quite frankly, that's how a lot of taming SHOULD be done. ☺

Just a suggestion, because that's how I've done it, for the land bridges. You should really try using Klinger's Rustic mod. The floating foundations and bridges are fantastic and so much easier to link areas.

Also as a recommendation, try the Sunken world additions. They have added tons of things recently and TLCed creatures. Perhaps it's best part is the additional fish types on which the other wildlife agro on makes the water feel alot more like the land. Not like everything is simply sitting there waiting to chomp on a survivor.

​@@nikosthanopoulos2921Sunken World Additions is such a fantastic add to any map (aside from scorched, obvi) but especially for this one. It keeps updated more regularly than any other mod I use and it doesn't seem to be for a matter of need, but rather a matter of care. I even saw it on the community crunch earlier as a featured mod. It's not very invasive and adds a lot of extra life and variety in the waters.

I wish Syntac would add The Sunken World: Additions to the server that he is playing on. He would have so much fun, especially if he encountered a wild Saurichthys lol. Many of the creatures would give him a good laugh too. Also, this is the best vanilla map to play with this mod on, so this will probably be his only chance to utilize all of the ocean creature mods fully. Tristan's Eocarcharia is awesome too, but I guess he is saving it for another time maybe. Still, I think that he should have both because they are both excellent mods worthy of being added to the server. If you agree, please also message in the chat in hopes that he sees this

i just want a auroch for ragnarok. a way to get a new type of milk that is great as food for you and ur tames maby even baby dinos/animals, but also something that spawns in herdes and keeps together something that might be able to fight allosaurus packs in the highlands and yuti/carno packs in the snow. a herbivore mammal that gets pack bonus

It also works fine with rex eggs, so it doesn't need to be the highest tier, probably just the highest two tiers. Also I'm guessing at one point maybe you walked a little two far from the nest for a fraction of a second? That will drop taming effectiveness too.

Agree....Gigantoraptor belongs on every map. For my cluster, I am modifying spawns to add, remove, and change the spawns for what I think should be on the map. I added Gigantoraptor to SE and Rhynio to Center (I'm treating it as a second island for my cluster). My plans for aberration currently are to add the jumping spider that should have won the vote. Also going to consider replacing Yi Ling with Gigantoraptors, and if not, add Gigantoraptors to the Green Biome if they aren't already on the map. I very much view the Yi Ling as a wasted community vote. Unless they add some interesting abilities, I just don't want it on my server.

Honestly I am always down for forced tames in these scenarios, if you tame the original one you wanted but just want the color of the other one. So tame the baby, kill the baby and force tame the parent for the colors kinda thing, since you did the work but just wanted the colors specifically yknow. That's how I do it in my play throughs Also, it looks like a chocobo

I believe the baby can ask for you to kill anything above a certain level (it will show you in the bottom right where it tells you it wants to bond) including gigas and alpha rexes. Also, to gain 'taming levels' from orphaned babies in the wild, it scales with the amount of 'tamed levels' you have put in, so you will only get 100% taming levels from a baby if you put in all 88 levels and get your tamed gigantoraptor to its max level. Also! the 'baby call' will re-roll imprints on babies you are raising, like how crypods used to do.

I've had a few spawn near my base and tried to tame, but never had any luck. I was only getting something like 3% taming on each attempt, and then once I got up to around 70-80% tamed, the tame would reset. Was so frustrating.

To get the bonus levels on the babies you need to have 88 levels pumped into the raptor. I believe it takes the % of the 88 levels and uses that to determine how effective the tame is on the orphan. Example you have 44 levels into your gigantoraptor and claim a level 30 it would get 50% effectiveness and come out as a 37. I just keep a leveled one in my pack in case I run across something interesting in my travels.

I use spino eggs and get the same two attempts in per egg. Yes, you can use the gigantoraptor to tame other baby gigantoraptors after killing the parent but you won't get full levels like you would doing the minigame until your gigantoraptor is fully leveled up. They also can only claim babies equal to or less than their own level.
