Mark Cousins has form in this arena. He did the same thing for a Welles documentary, hiring an actor to imitate Welles' voice, and then pretending to be in a dialogue with the director, when in fact all the words come from him, the film historian. It's going to become a big problem as regards veracity, thanks to AI. There's already another KZbinr (probably more than one) who vlogs about cinema, using an AI imitation of famous people's voices, putting into their mouths his (the KZbinr's) own critical judgments. It should be obvious that such a strategy is basically unethical. But we live in unethical times.

I don't think I've seen any of Cousins' other films before. I don't think I know of that other KZbinr you mentioned, but yikes! That sounds very shady.

Thank you for the head's up on this one, I DO like Hitchcock shows. It's been a while, so I'm definitely ready for some more. Thank you!

When I heard that it was narrated, I immediately thought that it was an A.I. version of Hitchcock. 😆

I've seen some of his movies with my Dad (my Dad loves the older movies on TCM) and there are some that are okay but I loved Rear Window and how he only used one set to make the movie.
