I absolutely loved it!!! I'm a huge fan of these two, and love it when they team up together. I've noticed a lot of guys, especially younger guys who gave it medicore reviews. I don't think they got it, especially because these guys are so much older now. I really loved the tiny comedic parts. There was a reference to Clooney resembling Sean Connery. I loved the scroe, cinematography, just everything. Thank you for this great and honest review!!! IT WAS FUN!!!!!

I love everything with vampires as long as they are not sparkling. That movie is on my “to watch” list on the very top. As soon my buddy comes to town, we're gonna watch it.

SAME! Sparkly vamps don't count as vamps to me. And Orlok is definitely NOT sparkly. haha!!

The greatest scene in all of acting was 5 mins no dialogue. Just Sir Alec Guinness opening a box of matches. Alone in an empty room. TVs Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy. That's how us Brits do it. And I wouldn't have it any other way.

Thumbs up for "acted with ethics, or attempted to." that is probably the biggest problem the media has today. None of them even pretend to try to get the story right. It's always about spinning it to favor whatever group you are shilling for. It seems quaint now but not too many years ago news stations actually did a lot of soul searching when it came to how to present a story. They also took their job as opposition to power as something they did. Early on in the Obama administration. Obama tried to shut Fox News out of Whitehouse briefings, the other news organizations, knowing that if it could happen to Fox, it could happen to them just as easily,. Savaged the Presidents press secretary until Obama was forced to back off and let Fox back in. SIgh igh all hope is not lost there was a preif time where the media was even worse than it is today. The days of the "Yellow Press" where facts were not considered important only that you make an intresting paper with it. The attitude was "If you get me the photos, I'll get you the story" meaning a writer that new nothing of the story would simply make it up based on little bit he had heard. The press eventually recovered from that. maybe it can recover from this. Until such time gather your information from as many sources as possible. including ones you don't like but trust none of them.

From the first trailer that I saw I thought this looked terrible. People want movies about Spider Man not Kraven, Venom, Madame Web, and Morbious.
@CynsCorner8 күн бұрын
Well, I'm personally fine with taking a break from Spider-Man. I'm feeling a bit Spider-Manned out at this point. So I don't necessarily mind seeing new or different characters. Obviously depends who they are and how well written they are.

I Predicted right after the first trailer that this movie gonna tank, and there it is, doing worse than Madam Web. 😅
@CynsCorner8 күн бұрын
Yeah, I heard about that. It's unfortunate, because this is a better movie than Madam Web by far. But I think Sony squandered any goodwill that was remaining with its fans.

Not sure what's so funny. The movie is playing all over the country. It's not a hugely wide release like many other films get, but it is in more than 1300 theaters across the States.

I prefer the 1983 made-for-TV version because it was more comical and less Hallmark-y, and at its 48-minute running length, there's not much meat to the story to justify anything longer.

I wonder if the the girlfriend who smacked him was his wife or somebody he broke up with prior to dating/marrying Nia - I've heard their interactions on his podcast, and they good-naturedly rip on each other, but she seems loving and affectionate, doesn't seem like the kind of person who would hit him.

In the UK and here in Malaysia, a white van man refers to a tradesman. Usually expected to be in a bad mood. I looked it up and it appears that white vans are known for enforced disappearances in Sri Lanka.

7:08 Worth remembering that you're watching all the best stuff, i.e. the stuff that made it across the pond. We've got our share of bad actors! That said, Britain doesn't tend to mass produce TV in the same way (e.g. shows that run for 20 seasons, new episodes every other day etc). Creators maybe have a bit more time to make sure it's good, and they stop making it when they feel they've told the story
@CynsCorner7 күн бұрын
I feel like that's becoming more of a trend here as well (making shorter - but more well-written - seasons of a series). I personally prefer it to longer seasons and a lot of weakly-written/filler episodes.

The reason you like the Aussie accent is because it is made up of all the British and Irish accents in one. It's true. That is why it is hard to describe exactly what the Aussie accent is. It is a blend of many different things and then you get the Mediterranean Australian accent. It is normal to Australia but has been made fun of by Aussie comedians and in TV and movies for generations now. Melbourne, Australia has the largest Greek population of any city outside of Greece and we also have a lot of Italians too. The strangest thing i think is an Asian with a completely Aussie accent. They were probably born in Australia and it is normal to them, but the look does not match the voice. We have so many with Asian sounding accents, so when they sound and speak exactly like a normal Aussie it messes with your mind. Very trippy and they may even have a normal white name like Garry or Mary.
@martinwhite355911 күн бұрын
Kitty is a national treasure in Australia, and we have some of the best comedians in the world. Kitty is blunt. She says it how it is. She can make fun of herself too. I don't mind soft easy listening jazz, but I won't put it on at home. She is talking about big band Jazz, not all Jazz. I listen to Rock and Metal and it is calming to me but not to everyone.

I am so happy to hear someone else talk about this movie. I spoke about it a couple of months ago and feel like Noone else is watching it. I did recommend it as I really enjoyed it. It will probably be in my top 10 movies of the year. I would be very surprised if that animal slaughter wasn’t real. It was waaaay too realistic.
@CynsCorner7 күн бұрын
RIGHT?! Definitely too realistic. I hope I'm wrong, but I dunno ... shades of Cannibal Holocaust? 😬 I also feel like this one is flying way under the radar. I never knew about it until I got the screener. It will be with me for a long time.

Pretentious is absolutely the correct word to describe the movie. But OK, it's his style, I can live with that. But what left a bitter taste in my mouth was the big ol' "Nolan twist" at the end of the movie. It was just weak .. certainly compared to Inception or Interstellar. I remember feeling very disappointed, even moreso after sitting through an HOUR of exposition of the trial.

I adore this movie! It has layers and layers of depth. Amazing performances. Not only that it has a Christmas theme to it that puts it in a category similar to Die Hard and Lethal Weapon, though psychological insights make it more heavy than either of those movies. It's a great lesson in psychology. It's a must see!

Does this reviewer eat meat? Serious question. Like how THE F*CK are there STILL PEOPLE THAT ARE IN THEIR 40S AND DON'T UNDERSTAND THE SIMPLE CONCEPT THAT MEAT IS NOT VEGETABLES/FRUITS/GRAINS ETC and it's ACTUALLY a living animal that needs to be killed, then skinned, then butchered into smaller pieces to be washed and cooked and then eaten? Again it boggles my mind how people can STILL BE THIS STUPID while LITERALLY EATING another animal species', like ourselves, flesh! The way livestock animals are literally mutilated and dismembered WHILE ALIVE, for fun, by immigrant workers that are doing this to animals JUST WAITING to be bolted in the head is WAY WORSE than what was shown in the movie! Also there are farmers RIGHT now that are killing and preparing their own animal meat outside of a traditional slaughterhouse. Even if it's less clean.
