These bands have been Bestie Friends for roughly two years. They like each other, they respect each other's work and they socialize when they can. On something like this both of these bands will play hard and aggressive, but they're friends -- friends won't try to one-up each other (at least not in public).

Thanks so much for the reaction Jeff! If you dive into the BAND-MAID pigeon whole, I am sure you won't regret it! BAND-MAID guitarist, Kanami, wrote this song for The Warning, in anticipation of their collab, with The Warning's first trip (and tour) in Japan. Kobato (the Pigeon) wrote the initial lyrics, with The Warning's subsequent contributions. The Warning also wrote some songs, and possibly some writing while they were together in Japan. BAND-MAID is hoping/planning to get to Mexico in the future to play more together with The Warning, and more specifically to play those other songs together. Dani (The Warning's guitarist) said she/they want to teach BAND-MAID a Spanish song. Some of this can be gleaned from an interview Kanami and Dani did with PRS Japan (on KZbin).

My opinion is that Band-Maid are one of the best bands to have formed in the past 15 years, and are currently one of the best rock and roll bands on the planet. They play many genres and styles including ballads, power ballads, pop, rock, progressive rock, hard rock, punk, metal, nu metal, and everything before in-between and beyond. They also have several great instrumental songs that they use live to give their lead singer a break. Some Band-Maid song suggestions for you are Moratorium, No God, Rinne, Onset, From Now On, Without Holding Back, About Us, Play, Why Why Why, Clang, and Matchless Gum. Their latest live videos from Yokohama Arena are incredible. Don't You Tell Me and Hate are straight up bangers with guitar vs bass duels, and Endless Story is a tear jerker that even choked up the singer, Saiki, and the drummer, Akane, since it was the last song of their 10th year anniversary tour. If you listen to a Band-Maid song that you are not fond of then try something else because their songs are quite different from one to the other. Have fun with it!

They don't have support bands, they don't do encores, but they do play on stage for 2 or more hours with any thing from 22 to 33 songs at a time, and, no one concert setlist is quite the same as another, with the lead singer Saiki (Psy-key) choosing the songs to suit the venue and for repeat fans who do multiple nights to give them a different experience each time.

​​@@threemonkeysk I think the closest they have come to doing an encore was on the US tour when Saiki clearly announced "last song", but when it was finished Saiki called an audible, saying something like "That's not enough". The band members did a brief huddle and then played one more song before ending the okyuji.
