Kamoshida is such a fucking monster. I don't think I've ever seen a video game villain that consistently gets reactions of genuine disgust and horror from everyone I've ever seen play P5. Like, yeah, characters like Kefka and Sephiroth do much "worse" things in their stories, but that's so far into the realm of fantasy that it doesn't really land in the same way. It's how "normal" his abuse and malice is that makes Kamoshida so disturbing, because somewhere out there---probably more often than we'd like to think---someone just like him is hurting people the same way, and getting away with it.

He's a very realistic levels of shitty that's down to earth and not fantasy. It's a very real character that many of us have seen or at least heard of someone exactly like that irl. And we all know how much youth sports abuses get covered up and how coaches can get away with rape and pedophilia as long as they win and how normalized it all is and how school sports ate treated like a religion.

I think part of it is just that Kamoshida is a character you can’t get away from until you steal his heart. You gotta go to school every day, and every time he’s gonna be there, breathing down your neck. While all the bosses have a time constraint to them, Kamoshida is the one that really puts you on the defensive. Idk all the later bosses have a layer of abstraction to their villainy, cause it’s all tell don’t show. Kamoshida is absolutely all show; we see him take advantage of Shiho and Ann, we see him knock the shit out of Mishima, and we can see the active drain his presence has on the world around him.

@@IamaPERSON ending A takes about 10 to 15 hours to get, then you play again for ending B, its not exactly the same, you unlock new stuff but most people are faster bc they already know how the game works so ending B usually takes a few hours less than ending A. after that the opening credits roll and the rest of the game unlocks along with endings C D & E average playtime for the full game is 36 hours. completionist is 60. strictly main story only is 21h but honestly the sides are part of the experience and i think a normal average player would complete them.

My favorite game is Ghost Trick of the Ace Attorney trilogy writer fame. Sadly Dan wasn't interested in the suggestion box, but I've yet to find anyone who didnt enjoy it. One of the closest to perfect games IMHO. I wholeheartedly would recommend that game to anyone, even non gamers ™, now if only Capcom made it easier to access... On a fanbase note it being so overlooked has it be really tame though haha. They do a themed secret Santa on Tumblr every year, it's sweet as hell.
