But the farther you can get them from each other, the better your results will be

My biggest concern would be the safety of my children & families safety & my equipment at the creek property. There was a case involving window peeking or voyeurism which is a crime. The victims have 3 daughters 15, 13, & 11 years of age. Their oldest daughter kept hearing a drone at night & the noise would wake her up at night. One night there were flashes of light coming in her windows. She got by the window & saw the drone taking pictures of her room thinking she was still in bed. She said her first reaction was she wanted to grab a ball or softball bat & hit it, knocking it down. Her Dad sat up with cameras with night vision mounted on the trim of all three girls bedroom windows window & their bathroom windows. The Deputy, the parents & the three girls watched what was on the card it went & looked in all three girls bedrooms & then hovered outside the bathroom window. It then went &looked in several of the parents bedroom & their bathroom windows too. The father had several softballs & knocked the drone down. They had filed several police reports & downloaded the video that their cameras were recording what the drone was doing. The police told them to knock it down& if they made other videos they recorded themselves watching the videos & photos they took of the girls. The oldest two boys were arrested the father & his brother were too. Since it didn't have a long range of distance it could travel away from the remote they would lose control of the drone. Plus it wasn't a high quality drone so they couldn't preset it to return to the base or home. He took the drone down with a couple of softballs. Called the Sheriff's Department & a Deputy was sent out. He viewed the videos on the card & the family recognized 2 of their boys & the fathers voice too, the photos of the girls rooms of them changing clothes in their room or going in & coming out of their shower. But the most disgusting part of it all the father of those boys was involved too & so was his brother. They were trespassing onto both the home's property & the "Creek Property" areas. The two oldest sons were charged as adults with trespassing making improper videos, photos of the girls & since they are minor girls the jail time was doubled for the father & the Uncle.

There is so much misinformation in these comments regarding drones. You don't "own" the airspace above your property. No state can govern the airspace over your property. Drones are governed by the Federal Aviation Administration Rules (FAAR) for Unmanned Aircraft Systems. Basically, as long as the drone stays BELOW 400 feet and slower than 100 mph it can legally fly over your property. It is ILLEGAL for you to forcibly remove the drone from the area above your property by shooting it down or using a net, a signal jammer or by any other method.
