I love to see Black people from the African Diaspora and African people, come to South Korea to go to a Korean university or come for refuge. I love to see Black people get a good University education and become the face of international affairs being the Black representation in the entertainment, corporate, and/or medical career fields. I also love to see new Black-owned businesses and Black communities pop up in Seoul, South Korea. Parents of Black children MAKE IT A PRIORITY TO TEACH YOUR CHILDREN YOUR AFRICAN Native Mother tongue language and have the school focus on their Korean language(trilingual is best). There are so many foreign refugee families and college students that come here whom I believe would benefit if the parents took Korean lessons too, that can help you get a higher paying job. For African-Black people who can't find a job right away in South Korea, you should study for a Korean driver's license so you have at least proof of South Korean identification. Get South Korean IDs for each family member in your family, it's important, and apply for student citizenships and/or visas for the whole family(even a baby). Foreigner refuge adults should also study Korea daily in classes for adults so they could get take the GED and then apply to a South Korean college while working part-time jobs to provide for their families. They could work part-time while getting their degree at a South Korean university; their give scholarships to Black people all the time so do your research to get them(do internships too). Soon those same foreign adults will have a degree and can get a better job to provide a better life for their children. I DON'T RECOMMEND BLACK PEOPLE TO LIVE OUTSIDE OF SEOUL UNTIL THEY ARE FLUENT IN KOREAN. If you're a refuge it's best you stay as close as possible to Seoul it's your best way to find a job as a FOREIGNER who ISN'T WHITE. African parents and/or adults, please make it a priority to send your kids to Immersion/Foreign/International Korean-English schools; teach your child about your African culture daily too. Find other Black and Blasian children for your child to be friends with as well as other races besides Korean. Black children NEED racial diversity it's IMPORTANT FOR BLACK CHILDREN TO NOT FEEL ISOLATED IN KOREA CAUSE THEIR DIFFERENT. If you can't send them to those schools please ENROLL them into an English-French-Spanish HAGWON that has other races of kids there too. Have them go to daily to learn a European language especially ENGLISH, CAUSE IT GIVES YOUR CHILD BETTER LIFE ANYWHERE. Find Black-owned organic body and haircare products to use on you and your children's bodies daily. On a rush day wear a headwrap, BB cream, mascara, and lip gloss if you're in a rush at least(takes less than 5 minutes). If your a Black-African family have your clothes, hair & face looking good every time you walk out of the house you might be the first Black person someone has ever seen, so make a good first impression. In order to change South Korean people's minds of African people we need to show them we are like everyone else. If your a Black or Blasian family and isn't good at doing curly to afro-textured hair, your child's hair is always frizzy, then get their hair PROFESSIONALLY braided by other Black people and LEARN how to take care of Natural Hair. The worst thing is having a child that clothes aren't on trend, hair looking crazy, and ashy-unkempt while being Black in a homogenous country. It's a setup for your child to get discriminated against and teased by their peers, your Mixed or Black child will develop SELF-HATE, LOW SELF-ESTEEM, AND IDENTITY PROBLEMS if your not careful(sometimes it's subtle). If you don't instill pride in their NATURAL Beauty and African-Black Culture into your Mixed or Black child it will be hard for them to live in Korea. Make sure your child is grounded in BOTH CULTURES, has self-love and confidence in who they are so they can feel good being their Natural self from the INSIDE AND OUTSIDE.

I don't see a trace of self pity or "woe-is-me" syndrome in this intelligent, hard-working man named Franck from the Congo. I've also met many Horn-of-African students who also were studying very hard to become doctors and whatnot in the U.S. They are the best-of-the-best that their nation has to offer. Of course, they will succeed and overcome whatever challenges they come across no matter where they are, Franck included. We should all be as hard-working as he is.
