- Sudamma was born in Sri Lanka, a country where 70% of the population is Buddhist. To learn the welfare system in Korea, he came to Korea. Soon after, he ends up at Gilsangsa in Gwangju, thanks to Monk Doje who is running a multicultural center. To learn welfare system from Monk Doje, Sudamma has settled down at Gilsangsa and it’s already his 8소yearin Korea.

Wow I got shocked after seeing the way the language teacher communicated with Sudhamma thero. Because the way Sri Lankans treat a monk is different. They would see the way she communicated with him as disrespectful. I'm glad Sudhamma thero is adjusting well to the korean culture. I'm sure it was not an easy task for him.

To be honest it was indeed shocking to see how people engaged with the Monk. As said we put more respect and i was thinking oh is that okay for me to watch at some parts? but indeed it was a good documentary to watch. As well i felt proud to see a monk like him. Finely Korean showing about Buddhist in there’s show. Whole world showing more respect and interests in Buddhism.Buddhist practice is very hard and chanting for many hours everyday in sitting position. Same time If you don’t exercise everyday . You going to be cripple soon. I know some Buddhist and they’re vegetarian and even they don’t eat garlics. They said even worst sin is eating seafood,eggs,pork and garlic. If you’re those eaters than don’t come to help at temple during fire.

Is this a Korean tv show??? I’m in utter disbelief. It’s very rude the way they treat a Buddhist monk. It’s really disrespectful. I can’t believe this and I’ve no words to say and this is not the real Buddhism at all. I find it very difficult to continue watching this. Even the way they address the monk 😢. The bottom-line of this whole discussion is that how pathetic the lives of fellow Sri Lankans are. Rulers who ruled us since the so called independence made us suffer this way and I expect that karma will punish them for what they have done to us.

@@ben10sno1fan During the independence in 1948 Sri lanka was one of the most developed countries in Asia. Since the rulers who ruled Sri Lanka has ruined the economy in Sri Lanka. As a result today we are enormously in debt to China, our people work as labourers in foreign coutries as the unemployment rate is high, the average salary within the country is low in comparison to living expenses.

And as planned we are in a bottomless pit with the dirty native rulers we chose for ourselves. It's been 73 years since our independence and the economy it deteriorating everyday. Reverend Sudhamma is initiating as out politicians/ embassies do not care the well being of fellow citizens.
