I just put my reservation fee on a sti that is in transit to a Bay Area dealership and can't wait to test it out. I've always wanted one of these for I don't know how long. From what I've noticed these cars hold their value pretty well. Great video and congrats on your purchase!

@@lrod8692 i do have the base and it did come with apple play and recaro seats and the nice wing I believe the only difference is that the limited one had a sunroof but honestly who needs that lol specially not here in cali its always super hot lol

I have a 2017 base model WRX and I love both the STI and the WRX and the next car will be the new STI. Great video brother 👍.

@@VelosterRally16_UV no worries. If I don't like the new STI I'm glad I can get the 2020 or 2021you know. I'm so glad you got your car with low miles. It is going to be hard for me to get rid of my WRX but 8 know I want the STI. I can't get another WRX. My WRX is a very good gas mileage car. The STI is the elite. Honestly im pretty sure they are about the same my in a base model so all it had is apple play and heated seats and bluetooth no nav but you dont need it and i have recaro seats

Beautiful! I have the same Magnetite Grey but non recaro seats. Carbon fiber lip marches well with the color.

I was thinking of getting a lip to make it look a bit more aggressive but idk if want carbon fiber yet but yah i can imagine it would look super good with the color

If you decide to get an exhaust just get a catback to start. In my opinion avoid axlebacks because you’ll just want to upgrade again which was my experience with my wrx. I have a tomei catback now and by far my favorite exhaust on this car

Great Video!! You should get an AOS (Air Oil Separator) and a cylinder 4 cooling mod installed as your 1st mods. These are most important especially prior to tuning it.

Loved the video! I have a 2019 STI and have heavily modified it. Stage 3+ now and am having no issues. Let me know if you need any help or have questions about which mods to get first.

Thank you appreciate it , i think ima leave it stock for a while at least until warranty is over or i pay it off then I’ll probably just do bolt ons and tune then keep it as a fun daily but I’ll definitely keep you in mind idk anything about tuning lol

That’s exactly what I was thinking that the car will probably be worth something a little bit later down the line because of this last year with the engine. Subarus already hold their value like crazy and I saw some crazy statistic that says Subarus bought in the last 10 years over 97% of them are still on the road today I’m willing to bet that 3% that aren’t on the road are probably STI’s though LOL

I thought about the type r but its so hard to find one that is marked up crazy and the Velo just doesn’t have enough power for me anymore and i wanted all wheel drive so the STI was perfect but i cant lie i love how the new N sounds 🤩

Congrats how do you like the alcantara seats? I wonder how durable are they compare to the leather... I was once sitting on the seat with 2 credit cards in the back pockets on my pants ... Wonder if I did any damage to it .. nice car and nice color

Do not add a intake system without a tune. You will damage the car.

Yah ive been seeing that alot after exhaust almost anything you do to these cars theyll need a tune immediately after

Congrats! What was the out the door price? How much is insurance going to run you?

Thanks bro out the door it ended up at 48k with taxes and everything but i put money down so it was under 40k financed. My insurance only went up $20 dollars than before so not bad ☺️ i have a pretty clean record tho so that helped i pay about $280 but for two cars.

I was about to ask the same question. The dealer up here in the Bay Area is asking for 44k I'm going to trade in my car with money down and try to get my payments in the fours. If you don't mind me asking what are your payments and how much did you put down? I'm guessing dealer asking price for your sti was about the same as mine maybe?
