For California, Use summer craw crackin craw, Watermelon red flake bandito and crackin craw. And white and chartuse works great too for anything like any baits etc.

Big paddle tails like that work well here in Queensland for mulloway, which are like a redfish but get 5 feet long and about 70 pounds. They love them.

If you want something really fun try throwing the tiny Klash from Drt/ Division rebel tackle it's a JDM bait and you can fish it in 12 different ways. They also have a 9 in version that's badass aswell.

We use sonic braid out here in pa. U can bend ur hooks before you break the line and it’s usually like 6 Lb test dia. I once drug a water soaked rotten log up off the bottom lol

what I do is load up on braid and use a top shot that I can replace daily a 6-10 foot top shot on 50 - 65 pound braid

Douglas is my home lake and I'm a huge fan. Would love a chance to meet you. I would think your probably going to fish out of Dandridge which is where I live. Beautiful area and very convenient to the Smoky mountains and the whole sevier co. craze I.e. pigeon forge, Gatlinburg etc. just keep in mind. Less traffic less stress, real folk in Jefferson co. Dandridge is kinda what you might expect of Mayberry

You definitely need to get a big soft swim bait design for Googan. Make sure to do a couple of styles. Slow roll the bottom and chunk and wind.

Rob the mag draft is a great bait but I hate how you have to retrieve it at a certain speed to get the right action. I like to cut the harness out and mend it back to make weedless with a beast hook. I prefer the 8 inch size. Please try to get this bait right. It needs the wobble and head rolls just like the mag draft at the right speed!

Im sure you dont mind in away lol i seen your bottle trick witch is pretty cool but what i do cuz most of the time im just switching reels to different rods so i take a bolt washers and a nut put the bolt throw the spool tighten the nut to the spool and put the threaded it end in the drill qnd i put the line back on the spool so im still qble to use it

You just gotta have 4 or 5 rods per state. With the line you need on them for that state's conditions. I have 6 rods geared for Arkansas' fisheries, and 4 rods for Louisiana fisheries.
