My new Atmos Home theater 1st time in India, 7.12.6

My new home theater setup. First time in India with 13 channels and 12 subwoofers
2 subwoofers for central channel for center base effect for voice and punch effects
2 subwoofers for atmos for base performance of helicopter scenes in movies
2 subwoofers arranged under sofa for booming base like bomb blasts etc
Remaining 6 subwoofers for surrounding base effects
13 channels use:
centre channel and left right surrounding back total 7 Speakers and
Remaining 6 atmos
All are supported by 4 , 1 Denon AV receiver, 1 subwoofer amplifier &2 pre- out amplifier
Coming to my TV, it's Sony X95L mini led 85" and media player Zidoo for Dolby atmos movie purpose

ALSO you would benefit a lot from a sound calibration of your space, a lot of receivers like the marrantz come with the software and hardware to do so. Basically a mic is placed in your ideal listening spot and then test sounds are fired through speakers and the mic pics it up and then "tunes" each channel accordingly from the feedback received.

Timbre matched speakers(same brand) throughout is a must.Bad speakers placement. Room acoustics issue such hard tiled flooring.Carpet flooring is recommended recommended.

Many best things for best acoustics had been neglected. Most Confused engineering done regarding channelizing sound. Spent lakhs, but i personally feel not worth installing in open hall with duplex. Reddy garu must be fond of speakers.

Wow so many mixed feelings after watching this. 1. Firstly kudos to the custom build speakers and amps, the ingenuity is commendable. I dont speak telugu so I missed a lot of what you said, I would love to know more details about the cabinet construction, the amps and the crossovers especially for the insane center channel and how you have the crossover setup for “atmos subs”. However, you choose to go this route in the worst room acoustically possible. The area has an uneven shape and way too open with spaces leading out to multiple rooms, this would be a nightmare to eq and calibrate room nodes, not sure if you are using REW with minidsp and Umik 1 to calibrate the multiple subs, phase match them and add time delay. But that would be a good idea to do. Secondly, you need carpet, the floor will cause too much resonance and reflections and mess up the sound stage. Thirdly, you have way too much stuff hanging on the walls that would probably cause rattling and mess up the sub 30hz notes. If you had done this in a smaller less open room with less speakers, you would have managed to get a higher SPL and bass response due to room gain and would have sounded more cleaner, but I guess in India the way homes are constructed, you have to do with what you get, but if You have a large room in your house I would suggest use that.

Speaker setup is too high,it should be place 4.5 feet from ground level., atmos should be placed above seat level. Subwoofer is in sealing ,i hav noticed on cinema hall...looks pretty werid... Viewers will be sitting inside speaker ., imagining about the sound😮

The subwoofers should be placed in ground. 1 or 2 SW are more than enough in that room. I think 5.1.2 config is best for your room size. 😊

Not following dolby recommendations for speaker placements , i don’t think you get difference between heights and floor level surrounds, May be it sounds lounder and crispy bcoz of high wattage amplifier, Proper bass management with multiple subwoofer is very difficult unless u use audyssey multeq-x or Dirac live I think it will be boom boom boomy

The setup looks very cool but the surround and rear speakers are too high. As per Dolby specification, allbed layer speakers should be kept at ear level. Then only you can hear the height layers difference and creates a dome of sound. Otherwise all sound will feel like coming from above.

@@somareddyramesh9115 I have seen 400w speakers mounted at ear level bro. (You can move up to 1.5ft above ear level) . You just have to level match the speakers via receiver or processor. Your setup is gonna still sound great or Indian movies, but not much for real atmos mixes due to no gap between bed layer me height layer.

Acoustics chala important. You have to consider echo, resonance, and lot of other factors when you use such a thing. You need an absorbent carpet. Sound channelize to prevent sound standing waves and diffraction around corners etc. etc.

Yeah same question. I love the DIY work done here but this is a clear wastage of money for such a small space. My main concern is you don't need 12 subwoofers serving different purposes because how will you manage to align the phase (0-180°) settings of all these 12 subwoofers, just 1 or 2 subwoofers are enough for handling every kinds of low bass. Dolby atmos receivers have 7.1, 7.2, 7.1.2, 7.1.4, 7.1.6, configurations, you could have configured 7.2.6 but 12 subwoofers for real? 😢
