Get those frame protectors off. They will just grind and scuff the paint way worse than your boots will. I use hockey shin pad tape instead on contact areas. I have a 23 with 550 tune, 13 tooth sprocket, 12 o'clock labs speedo corrector, 550 airbox mods, modified stock exhaust, K Tech shock Race Tech front spring, Outback crash cage, skid plate, Zeta handguards, folding trail mirrors, rear rack with a hardpoint for 1.5 gallon rotopax. As you can see, I love it. I ride it nearly every day.

@MotoAddicted I bought a can of colour-match spray paint for the frame from Scratches Happen and just spent yesterday masking, sanding, respraying the frame rails from the damage those "protectors" did. Turned out well but, the shin pad tape would have been better idea for preventing the damage. The paint on the frame reveals the cut-price nature of the bike. Rather have them cut corners here than in the engine, though, of course.
