My new bottle kiln. "The Monster"

A homemade backyard brick bottle kiln. Wood fired updraft. Can fire bricks or pottery to 2000F +.

Great video. Interesting to see the kiln in action. Good flame. It's a pity the resulting bricks weren't more even, but I guess that's the learning curve with these things. You never know what results you'll get until you open and look! Thanks for sharing the experience. Mark.

What did you use to press the clay bricks before going into the kiln?

bricks are dirt cheap .. whats the point of making your own?
