Cool bike Lilly! If it is EMP/CME protected definitely cool though if the power grid is disabled. I would invest in a non-electric mountain bike for the reliability unless you have your own wind turbines/solar panels that are also EMP/CME shielded as well as this E-bike.

Just some tip: The "tempolimit" only applies on streets. You can drive as fast as you can handle the bike safely off road. That includes bike paths and other trails. So the 25 km/h mode is basically only for the street.

Awesome bike, Lilly! It'd be a good idea if the company made a solar panel that you could mount on the rear rack to help charge the battery. Also, you can get an AC power inverter for your vehicle, so you could charge it with your car.

Small solar panels already exist, but they would take forever to recharge the e-bike. A larger panel works much better.
@Hrossey

You’d need 4x12v panels wired the correct way, to make a 48v solar panel. A basic BMS to regulate spiking, and it will charge a 48v battery. Honestly? It would take you 2 whole days of sun just to charge your battery once. The size of the panels wired this way would be way too large. Still possible though for sure so long as you wanted to charge it this way from home ✅

Great Video! I have an electric bike. I store it in an EMP box setup when not in use. I went with a mid size non balloon tire with a “run flat” tube. (My reason is staying on logging roads which are closed and running on minor improved roads for quick escapes.). I have a larger capacity bike rated for 600 pounds load capacity and longer distance battery with a larger amp motor. Enjoy every one.

You need to face the facts: Fires are caused by cheap and compromised products (packs, chargers, BMS) and the main reason is poor water proofing and water ingress in the cells. kzbin.info/www/bejne/inzIiGmDmN2llcU LFP batteries don't catch fire. They just inflate slightly and terminate themselves in event of direct short circuit.

She wont be able to do that with that bike , the fat tires make it cumbersome and Very hard to pedal . The frame is overly heavy also . You have to find a good comprimise on the tires thickness with no more than 3 inches , 2 1/2 is better . . The frame at 26 inches is good for city cruising put too tall for decent manuevearablity on grass or trails . Ive been through all this , its hard to find the perfect e-bike for prepping .

And all that stuff-electric, solar, etc., is not without consequences and are the ultimate answer to the world’s energy problem. Now that we have others joining the party in the Middle East, I’m pretty sure we will start to see the beginning of another, larger Armageddon. Is it the big one? Lily, it looks like we had tgd sane idea at the same time! 😂 I just recently picked up thd MUCH cheaper Vivi ebike from Amazon. Later on this year I want to get a trailer for my bike to convert into a camper with solar panels on the roof and make it into my bug out base on wheels. Later this summer I want to try going on a cross state bike ride with my ebike and camper. Back when I was a teenager 14 or 15 mph (about 28 to 30 kph) was my average regular speed on my mountain bike on flat terrain. I could easily hit 20 to 25 mph (40 -50 kph) on a hill in relatively flat Michigan. As such I like my ebikes able to go at least 20 mph. Fortunately in my home state of Washington ebikes are allowed to go up to 20 mph and still be legally treated as a regular bicycle.

This is what 25 years of preparing looks like In Kentucky, USA...We can use ATV's , 4X4 trucks and dirt bikes for travel, no e-bike yet but it's on the bucket list. We have a small lake stocked full of fish. We have turkey, deer and other small game in abundance on the 45 acres of land . 30+ acres are forested and have a small creek that flows all year long on the land. We also grow a sizable portion of our vegetables and can them, We are multi skilled and have all the tools from gardening , fixing auto's or anything with a engine. We can do electrical work, carpentry work, we have climate controlled sheds stacked high with food, water and other necessities like meds, clothing, reloader equipment for bullets and enough solar power to overcome a grid shut down. We also have enough weapons' to protect the local community. We have bug out bags but will prefer to hold our ground but flexible enough to move to safe areas that have back up supplies. kzbin.info/www/bejne/i2ipgpJnpq6Eeacsi=aeTbTaGhBr3lUFuL

I am an oldschool type of guy. Just a regular old mountain bike. The rear rack on your bike is a good arrangement... You know it can haul more if you are smart about it. My understanding of Electric bikes is that if they konk out, they are really heavy. I also wonder about their circuitry in case we have an EMP. or solar storm that fries the grid like the carrington event did.. Some folks have opted for smallish and very basic 50-90cc 2 stroke gas engine additions to their bikes... They will work hard, they are fast, and they are as simple as a lawnmower to work on... no worries about Electrical infrastructure stuff either. Some folks say, "Oh we aren't allowed to use 2 stroke motors, so why would we get one?" When the SHTF, will the gestapo be out to enforce the laws about lawnmowers and 2 strokes, or will you be the neighborhood hero for having a light and nimble and moderately capable ride to haul you and a bit of gear? You can also retrofit pretty much any bike with a small 2 stroke motor for cheap. as cheap as electric. Older style is sometimes better, although as far as electrics, that set up you got looks really good.

I would recommend replacing the rear tire with a hard compound road tire. I burned through mine the first summer I put on about 1500 miles. I added an additional hard case 20ah battery with velcro to my luggage rack and doubled the range to around 60 miles. I plan to add 2 more batteries. I also have a small trailer I can pull.

What are the options to charge up the batteries out in the field? Is there 48 volt fold out solar?

Lilly i have to say after all this doom and gloom, was lovely to see some positivity , Electric Bikes are fun, give it a go....weeee...And if you want to stay legal, there is an option on most kits to just connect the same coloured wires with a handy connector, that fits only one way round, and get massive millage...in sghort 1000w motor become 250w motor, if you wanna tear it up simply unplug and weeeee, become Bunny hill in a moment

E-Bikes are becoming very popular. There are a few children that use them in my neighborhood. Most adults that use them ride offroad.

A fan of yours :) got your knives :) i have a similar ebike and love it. I also have a good quality no electric one, being lighter. I love my ebike. First purchased to use when travelling with my motorhome. I like the versatility of being able to use it whenever i like, except in Canada s heavy winter. keep up the good videos Lilly :)

Sehr cool👍🏼. Leise und trotzdem relativ schnell. Du könntest dir für den Notfall je nach Jahreszeit unterschiedliche Camouflage panzerbänder neben das Fahrrad hin legen und vor der Flucht dann damit alle Kanten brechen.

I have a Luckeep X-1 With saddlebags front and back in the color of your bike but my E-bike Is a metallic gun metal color with MAG rims and 4 inch tires really like the machine only thing I don’t like on it is cruise control but I guess if you’re doing long rides it would be good but it is dangerous. The cruise control option if you forget to turn it off. interesting machine. These machines you use are use a lot in the United States.

I am a small (motor)bike lover, and this is a fun one. I wonder if they have more colors. Camo and leopard would be great for me, apocalypse or not. :) My son would love this too.

I would like to see you set this up with a solar charging system and go on a road trip to see how far you can get in some number of days! How much could you carry? Folding solar panels, charger module, 2nd battery, tent, food, water, etc...

nice e-bike , however when riding in non battery mode the seat post needs to be raised cause you get mor pedal leverage.

I love your channel. I was thinking, and I believe the only way for us to truly survive is working together and having a plan where it involves numbers. Some how we need communities of people, who can protect each other and are made up of Construction Workers, Doctors, Nurses, Ex-Military, Survivalists, Farmers etc. If threatened we can protect each other, if hurt we can get help and so forth. In other words we share our knowledge.. If we act as individuals, then I believe we will be prayed upon. Somehow, we need to communicate and plan? In regards to the e-bile, I think electricity will be at a premium, so a regular, heavy duty mountain bike may be the answer?

Nice bike! I like the options to use the throttle, turn up the speed and remove the battery. Let's say for example that in a crisis situation your bike isn't working on the electric, hypothetically you might choose to remove the battery and hide it somewhere so you can lighten the bike... 😊

Cool bike. It would be a good idea if you added a trailer. Then you could easily carry an extra battery and pick up supplies during an emergency.. I hope you have good security for that bike that no one could break or steal it. I'm still a cyclist at 74.

I looked at these bikes as an alternative to a motorcycle but it's difficult to get a solar charger for them, it is a nice idea though. I like the luggage rack, it looks like it'd hold a lot of camping gear.

Hi Lilly, great looking bike, FYI we will be offering a 220W Solar Blanket ebike charging kit that will be less than 12lbs with everything and fold up to the size of a laptop as well as a 300W Solar Blanket ebike charging kit. Should be releasing this by end of April.
