Sorry for the lack of videos everyone. Life has been busy so I've been commuting a lot more with less training and racing. So I built a dedicated commuter bike! Watch for the details.

Well thanks for the compliment, I think. It’s definitely a solid bike and I’m fortunate to have had several nice bikes over the years to scavenge parts from. But, this is still done super cheap. About $400 US all in. And half of that was the wheelset.

Great video and nice so see folks using second hand parts whenever possible! Would be interesting to hear how much it weighs, what tires you used, something on the steps and challenges you went through when building it and how it feels when riding it. Keep it up and take care!

Thanks! I've only ever weighed it fully laden with all of my commuting gear. and It was around 9.2kg. So not light, but a heavyweight commuter either. Currently have Challenge Paris Roubaix tires in 27mm. A bit cushier than a standard race tire. As for the build, it went pretty smoothly. No big surprises at all. Although, being a rim brake bike with cables, it's a pretty easy to assemble bike. Thanks for watching! I'll have some more commuting videos coming out.
