What a wonderful craft space! An unasked-for suggestion.....recycle a box, maybe a FexEx box, cut down and covered with contact paper and glue a rubber shelf liner underneath it (from the dollar tree). You could sit the die cutting machine on top of it and put the opening towards you, to store all the plates and mats. If you find you need more support, make a frame from thin wood or foam board glued to the inside. Just a suggestion.

A desk organizer or artist supply drawer set might do the job nicely. It would elevate the cutting machine and store keep more crafting supplies at your fingertips.

Your suggestion for Kristina was wonderful! I actually saw that I could use boxes, that I have been saving, to cut down to facilitate some of my storage as well...thanks!!

I use all kinds of little boxes, like the cardboard decorative ones from DT, as well as this stack of boxes I got from my mother. I covered all of them w/plain white copy paper, then wrote by hand what was in them. Put a little bling, & now I've got boxes for embellishments, wooden cubes, sewing, glass beads, wooden cubes, etc. I also use the little metal buckets sold at DT for all my various writing tools - markers, mechanical pencils, black sharpies, color sharpies, color pencils, etc.

I love seeing how people organize their rooms. I will be moving into our forever home in 6 months and it will be a big room for card making and quilting. It also is a space that will not have a door and therefore, need to find a home for everything since I have a cat, Jinx, who LOVES to knock stuff off tables!!! Blessings in your new space!

Awe, you're a Little Mermaid fan! I'm a sucker for The Little Mermaid! I saw it in theaters when it came out and I've been obsessed ever since. Little 5 or 6 year old me acting out the "Part of your world" wave splash on the rock in the middle of the theater lobby!🤣 There was a giant fountain and I just couldn't help myself!

LOVE your new craft room. But I do want to see the drawers, particularly the ones in your work space, as in -- what are the things you want right near you when you're working and use the most. I think the fact that its an open loft is fabulous, so open and free. To see someone's stuff actually ORGANIZED is a treat. If you want an idea for the noise issue - a good “curtain” (drapes?) works great! Just make sure to make it wider than the opening, and use both a heavy fabric and a lining fabric. We have two large openings into the kitchen which meant we had to sneak if a kid was sleeping. And talking in the living room while someone was using a mixer for example was impossible. After hanging drapes it’s removed more than half of the sounds! Obviously a piece of fabric will never work as well as a door but it’s an easy solution. 😊 Also wow. Your craft room is amazing! (And practically the size of half our apartment 😄)

As you were opening the drawers and cabinets I could imagine the "new cabinet smell" which gets me the way "new car" gets folks into automobiles lol. Great ideas for building my own crafting haven. You seem to be my crafty-sister-from-another-genepool. Especially not using all your stuff because it's packed out of sight in bins and boxes! I have so many of the same things you do except not in the quantity (I was drooling when I saw your stamp and dies collection!!!!) I kept nodding and smiling in agreement each time you explained why you decided to do something or put something somewhere (sneakers drying in the sink... totally a me move as inspiration caught me on the way to laundry...). My photo stuff cabinet would look just like yours. I'm also a big buyer of storage folders and the like, those wicker baskets are spot on. Large paper drawers under window seat? Sink with bendy faucet in the room? Shelves to see all the fab colours you own? Keeping the Distress line together? All GENIUS!! You designed a fabulous dreamy space. I wish you wonderful creative clarity and bright bursts of maker joy in your new workcenter! Thank you again for the bright spot today and giving my manifestations a real example to build on. Love it! A sink is a must, and in my craft room, I've found a comfy couch and a bathroom are really handy! LOL nothing to do with crafting as much as crafting as a lifestyle! Oh, and a vacuum! A dedicated vacuum is a must!

I craft in a spare bedroom (when you don't have kids, you have spare rooms lol) and the one thing I really wish I had was a sink. I'm always afraid something I rinse out or pour out will stain my bathroom sink. It is under the counter so not easily replaced. Your space is beautiful, thank you for sharing!
