I just got this monitor as a 2nd monitor and yours is probably the video that sealed the deal for me. Thanks for showcasing KZbin's theatre mode with this monitor! I would have probably never considered trying it out. It looks so good, wow. I am using the version with the regular stand and have the monitor down all the way; I can see everything fine without craning my neck. For productivity, I love having basically two small widescreens stacked on top of each other. I never liked splitting a widescreen in half horizontally, but this is great.

9:04 you’re showing you can connect two devices. You can also use this as two monitors for your one laptop. You mention how much you like the length of the screen. You can use it as two monitors, then turn the monitor sideways. This gives you one full screen for your IDE for code, and with the second screen you can basically divide that in two for a browser on half (a quarter of the full monitor) and slack or Spotify or your terminal or whatever else you may want. I’ve seen several engineers looking at the monitor. All of them mention you can use it as two displays. All of them mention the effective height is amazing for an IDE. No one has put those two things together.

I work alot in Adobe Indesign, and it is perfect for that to. Since I often work in a portrait document it is great using all that monitor area also for all the palettes.

This is a killer monitor for sound designers and game audio folks. You can have you sound library manager open on the bottom and your audio workstation or middleware on the top while running the game build on another screen or remote device

the fonts in macos are very very small :/. I've returned this monitor, in the paper looks fine but in the real work not, using macos and native resolution not is very good because all is very very small (the ppi is good). Too I felt tired when I read books. When I ajusted fonts to bigger, many apps works ok but many others apps not, the system not is ready to this, because any menus or tabs looks with small fonts yet (example Safari tabs).

Do you experience any problems with your eyes adjusting between your 4K and the DualUp? When I use my 4K LG 43UD79 with my 1080p monitor, my head hurts because my eyes have to focus on two different resolutions. Do you experience anything like this because the 4K monitor you have has 103PPI whereas the DualUp has 130PPI?

I can see you have new m1 macbook - how is text crispiness looking on your setup looking? I have m1 too and the text out of the box on LG Dual Up is very bad, blurry. I installed BetterDisplay tool to fix resolution, it helped. but it's still not there yet. I can easily compare it to text rendering from Windows laptop - it looks very good on Windows out of the box.
