Yeah. This J neck is soooo good. The roasted ash also feels good to the touch

Those are some super versatile tones you can get out of those pickups. I'm guessing that they are different from the Combustion and NG pickups? These really do the Jazz sound really convincingly!
@IvanBassist3 ай бұрын
Thanks!! These are Dingwall FDV (alnico magnets) pickups. Combustion and NGs come with neodymium pickups

Excellent choice on the roasted ash. The stiffness of wenge probably isn't needed on a 4 string so might as well save some weight, and it looks almost identical. Gorgeous axe!
@IvanBassist7 ай бұрын
Sheldon said he preferred roasted ash over wenge due to availability of wood and similar sonic and look qualities. So far, I’m digging it!

Congratulations 🎊 your Super J looks and sounds awesome 👌 I have a D-Roc Standard in Vintage Burst, I love Dingwall basses, and I love that they're Canadian ( I live in Vancouver, BC ). My next Dingwall will most likely be a Super J Have a good one 👍

Yaaaa Jazz basses and JP combos are gonna be the death of my bank account. Love this bass even more. Although itd have to compete with my 1987 Ibanez RB808, but from the sounds of it they both have their differences and loveable qualities

Thank you for your really good videos! I'm playing a Dingwall JT 3. I can't really get along with the Tone Controller yet, I think I still have to experiment with it a little. Maybe you have tips on the Dingwall EQ settings and can make a video about different sound on active Dingwall basses. Best regards!

Womit genau hast du Probleme? :)

Hi Ivan!
@IvanBassist4 ай бұрын
Je nach Musikrichtung ist es nicht schlimm wenn der Ton ein bisschen Nasal klingt. Man braucht diese mittigen sound um sich in dem Mix durchsetzen zu können. Was für Musik spielst du?

Why have you stopped playing five-string basses, Ivan?
@IvanBassist6 ай бұрын
The music I’m currently playing does not really require the extra string. Although, hitting the low B on some passages is definitely a lot of fun 😄 I’m considering getting a 5 string once the production model SP1 by Dingwall hits the market :)
