Wow. I had no idea what goes into the process of making a Dingwall bass. From the extra steps of taking an already assembled bass and turning it into a perfect “weapon”, to the special woods that go into the custom basses, I can now really understand why those instruments are held in such a high regard. I know that once I’d be able to afford one, I’ll get one. Props to the Dingwall guys. Thank you Andrew for the video and thanks to Sheldon for showing us the factory ❤️🔥🤘

Everybody needs to check out Ritter. They put tremolo systems on their basses and they even make their own strings in house. Some of their basses are built such that the entire length between nut and bridge is fretboard. The entire length is fretboard. The pickups are hiding under the fretboard. It’s wild

Panning your mics hard left and right is... a choice. Understand what you may have been going for, but it is overall more distracting than anything else, as the side the audio is on doesn't always correlate with what side the current speaker is on in the video. It just makes for a more distracting experience in an otherwise cool video. Please keep mics mono or at the very least, don't pan hard left and right, as there is nothing center to... well center the sound, makes it feel more empty, yet somehow overbearing at the same time. No hate, just an audio nerd trying to give some advice.

their basses would be great if they didn't cost 2000 euro minimum - for a "low spec" stock one....
@13_cmi
@13_cmi Ай бұрын
They are a bit pricey. They definitely should have some lower priced options. But that’s not for me to decide.
@WorbyBass
@WorbyBass Ай бұрын
These are a completely unique instrument from the ground up. There’s nothing low spec about them. I was completely shocked when I got my combustion 6 string. It instantly made me a better player. Certain pieces that just sounded off on other basses, now sounded on. Then there was all the new music I started creating. I should’ve bought one years ago! Within a 6 months of getting it, I dumped all my other gear and bought 5 string as a back up for live shows. None of my other instruments could come close to it. I knew I would never play the other ones again.
@WorbyBass
@WorbyBass Ай бұрын
@@13_cmi you can’t lower the price without lowering the quality. My Combustion made every other bass I ever played instantly look a lot worse. There’s a reason for that! Most of the companies just want to slam out as many as possible. He must be doing things right to have a three-year waitlist and still people are putting in orders. Here’s my short story. I needed some warranty work due to the EMG preamp failing. I made arrangements to be in Saskatoon at the factory (I’m only 2 1/2 hours away). I expected to leave my bass with someone at the front desk and have it shipped to me in a month or so, at my expense. Nope! Tyler took me to the back, stopped that he was doing and fixed it right then and there. Not only that, he gave the whole instrument a look over just to make sure everything was good. Everything was perfect! I’ve never had sustain like this. I’ve never had a neck with no dead spots. I’ve never been able to to reach the 24th fret so easily and have it sound that good. You just can’t cheapen that.
