I bought the same topper new and it was $6,000 a year ago when this video was made. all options, carpeted, front fold down window, same both sides, electronic lock, lights, usb charging ports yakima rack, double thick top holds 500 pounds.

Great job! Everything you need and nothing you don't. You might consider some "bed stiffeners", Tacoma bad rails can widen over time with a topper. Google em, many different companies make them for the taco!

Loving your content! For your seats use seat jackers from "Desert Does It" it makes a world of difference. They're aluminum blocks l that bolt to your floor of the truck and jack the front of your seat up by 1.25 inch and gives you a better seat position for your legs and will give you a more truck like feel.

I like your build. I don't recall you mentioning this or not. But, one thing that I suggest for you to add, is a DC to DC charger. That way your truck alternator can keep your house battery topped off while you are driving to your destination. Just my opinion.

You need a N02 sensor for diesel not C0, nitrogen dioxide is the primary concern from diesel.

What a fantastic build! Truly the best I've seen so far. I'm really impressed with how everything came out. For myself, I'd like to find a way to extend the width of the bunk when sleeping so as not to be right up against the window, but able to be put out of the way when not in use. I just didn't have the room in this version. The Tacoma box is significantly smaller than the Silverado so things got a little tight. I have other fan ideas I'm working on. Ventilation is always necessary on hot summer trips. Stay tuned.

It's not. I added rubber furniture type feet to the bottom of the box. They sink into the bedrug and hold it pretty securely in place. truth be told, I've done this on all my builds and none have ever moved, even on some crazy BLM trails. Thanks for watching.

Not really but I'm also not doing any hardcore off road. Mainly BLM trails to get to remote camping areas. It stays put very well. I suppose I could always use a heavy bungee cord if needed.

@@Outside605 almost every charger available on the market should be compatible with lithium. Much better to charge your second battery as you drive! I’ve got the renogy one with mppt you can hook solar directly to and 100ah of lithium

I assumed you meant charging off the trucks alternator. In boats, lithium starting batteries are a no no for most outboard manufacturers because the charging output of the alternator doesn't work with *most* lithiums. Mercury for instance, approved a very specific lithium battery where the BMS accepts the alternator output. A generic amazon lithium (like the one in my video) would just shut down in that instance.

I don't charge from the alternator. I do all of my charging with shore power (ac outlet) or with a small generator.
