I have the AJT vent covers and their going on the second winter in Minnesota with no issues. One mod you might want to think about is painting the trim around the radio and the driver side dash. I had mine painted in lunar rock at the same time I put on the TRD PRO desert air intake. I didn't have the balls to drill my fender, so I bought the 21 pro fender and had that colored matched. It would get rid of that gun metal silver. Just a thought.

The very first thing to do to your Tacoma is to install a K&N cold air intake. You’ll notice an instant change of the sound and the pep of the K&N. The next mod is to add a Flowmaster Dual Exhaust. I’ve installed the K&N the first week of owning my 23 TRD Off Road. I’m currently saving money for a Flowmaster Flow FX dual exhaust system. I had these 2 mods done on my last pickup and it increased the horsepower, torque and mpg. I was getting 19mpg on the freeway with the cruise set on 75mph. After those two mods I consistently got 23mpg. It’s worth the investment on your truck. After installing the new Flow FX on my 23 TRD, then I’ll save up for interior and exterior mods.

@@user-mh1gb7dd6y I personally would have the Outlander Tailor Tune down loaded onto your Taco. You can have them program Any desired pedal command that you decide. Furthermore the OTT will cause the torque on your 3.5L V6 to start at 2K RPM and will continue until your redline at 6K RPM. The OTT will STOP your Tacoma from “hunting” for gears. It’s my opinion that the Overland Tailor Tune is the best option. I research a lot of things before deciding on what to do with my vehicles. Eventually I too will have the OTT installed into my TRD. I will have to drive to Idaho as that is the closest installer to my house in Washington state.

One thing I've been looking for is chrome delete on the volume nobs and buttons. I hand yet to find some that aren't so expensive. One thing i would also recommend are molle sun visors.

I’m having Katzkin leather installed on my 23. I’m having them done in Bisque with black trim and stitching. I already have the factory black leather sold to a buddy of mine who has a 23 TRD Off Road with cloth seats.

I have to order and try out the cushions. I love everything about my truck except the awful seat comfort. My left knee and leg start aching after only a few mins in it. The vent overlays look exactly like the vents in my SR5 that came stock.

Hey Bro, Happy New Year to you and your family! Definitely going to check out those seat cushions. My bony butt can use all the help it can get 😅 A bonus is that it would protect the seat bolster. I’ve always had Wet Okole seat covers and they’re not cheap. My last set still looked great after 15 years except for the drivers side seat bolster. I wore a big hole from sliding out of the truck over the years. I realize that’s what the covers are there for but for what they cost it was a shame to have just that one spot wear through while everything else was still in great shape. I know I mentioned it before but the Cali Raised LED interior light mod is well worth the $25ish What are your thoughts on head unit upgrades? I’ve been contemplating one of the Alpine bundles from Trail Grid Pro.

Happy New Year Brother! Yeah that’s the part of the seat that takes a tremendous beating.. people typically put all of their weight on that little spot of the seat when entering and exiting the vehicle.. I try to be strategic when getting in and out for that reason 🤣. I have seen those head units. They look really sharp!! For the moment I am pretty happy with my JBL setup that came with the Premium package.. but if I were to change it I would probably go with that one.👍🏼🤙🏼

Yeah, that’s another thing to consider. I don’t have the JBL set up. I like the features of an aftermarket HU but it probably wouldn’t make much sense to install one with the factory cheap speakers. I forgot to mention.. I have a similar steering wheel cover on my other car. It actually damaged the stock leather steering wheel. The steering wheel cover has a rigid seam on the inside that rubbed on the stock leather wheel and damaged the leather in spots. The leather on the wheel of my car is softer than the Tacoma’s but still something to keep an eye on.

Got a quick question. Hopefully you or someone on this channel can answer it. I have a 2023 Tacoma Trd off-road got wheels and tires for it. The problem is they are 8 1/2 with zero offset -17 inch rim .I was looking for something to flush out with the side fender wells. It has a 3 inch body lift on it also. What would be the perfect offset or depth of rim to flush out with wheel wells.

Good question 👍🏼. 2 reasons.. 1. The covers are extremely tight and form fitted.. it leaves little to no room for anything else to fit under them. 2. I didn’t want to have a barrier between my softex seats and the covers so that the original seat could breathe properly through the ventilation. Having a cushion trapped underneath could potentially trap moisture etc.
