I love that you acctually put the settings that you used in your video, right next to the pictures. Helps so much in understanding the image and the lighting. Great way to learn about that kind of stuff! Thank you!

My pleasure! I figured it would help out some people to know the settings I've used haha. Glad I was right about that! Thank you for watching this video and taking the time to leave a comment. 😁

Great video and photos my friend! It's great seeing more stuff coming out of China as well. One suggestion I'd make is try to have your end cards with the suggested videos come up after you show your photos as they cover your photos at the end of the video. Keep up the great work!

Thank you very much, man! I just checked your channel after seeing your comment and just realized that you were in China as well?! Great visual language you got there, Gxace! And thank you for your suggestion! I'll be more mindful about it for my future videos :)

@@mathieurabary Thanks man! I visit China every year, mostly in a city called Ningbo which is just south across the bay from Shanghai! Cheers and keep up the good work!

@@GxAce Oh, I know this city! Never been there yet but might travel there in the future, who knows? Once the virus situation settles down and you happen to be in the country, would love to meet you! :) Cheers from Shanghai and keep up the good work as well! Currently binging your videos about the Anamorphic lenses on Hasselblad haha).

If you wanna use slow shutter speed for a portrait you need a Speedlight for freeze the subject.
@mathieurabary5 жыл бұрын
Thank you for the advice, Stefano :) I'm aware that a Speedlight could have been very useful for nighttime photography however I was not going for this type of look. Hence why I used a tripod for all the shots except for the ones that were indoors at the BBQ restaurant. On top of that, I do not own a wireless trigger for my Hasselblad 500c/m yet... I'm planning to get one as soon as the photography stores reopen here! Thank you again for checking my video out and leaving a comment :)

Hey Jae! Appreciate the support man! 👊🏼 This camera is great I don't think I will ever get rid of it haha. But in case I do, I'll be able to sell it at the same price if not more.

I liked the colors too. Film always has a layered look to me which is pleasing. I think that's why seems to have a different feel to it when viewing. There's micro shifts in the imperfections that are pleasing to the eye could just be CA.

Thank you for your comment Tyler! Couldn't agree more! Film has a very particular way of rendering colors, light and depth. I love the look of it but I love it even more for the process of shooting it 😁

Do you scan the film? Epson v600?
@mathieurabary4 жыл бұрын
I do not scan film myself, I let my lab take care of that! I either print on the Noritsu HS 1800 or the Hasselblad Flextight X5. :)
