MY NEW FAVORITE (Dreamcatcher(드림캐쳐) '데자부 (Deja Vu)' MV Reaction)

For me, I think it's clearly about betrayal for power/the throne. They were all equals, and friends, particularly Jiu and Yoohyeon (as seen in the table scene), but Yoohyeon aspired for the throne. As seen by her sitting on it and imagining herself in the dress. However, Jiu was the obstacle for her to get the throne, because Jiu took it instead. Jiu is constantly an obstacle for the throne, but in the end Jiu wouldn't kill Yoohyeon (dropping the sword). Yoohyeon used that as an opportunity and killed her (stabbed her in the back). Then the other parts of the MV is them at a 'funeral' for Jiu, including Yoohyeon. Yoohyeon ends on the throne (destroyed), looking smug. Likely she betrayed Jiu and gained the throne after a fight (hence all the destructuin). I think the other shots in the music video are just Yoohyeon now alone because she betrayed Jiu and their friends - like being alone at the table, and her friends around her disappearing. And that one shot of Yoohyeon in the 'coffin' is probably her imagining Jiu would kill her, or that her 'aspirations' would get her killed. It's also worth noting in the very beginning when she sits on the throne black smoke overcomes her - likely symbolizing evil, or her greed for power - she gets corrupted. Her outfits also progress to black by the end, showing the corruption. It's also a theory that she killed the other members of Dreamcatcher (as there are scenes of Siyeon and Sua falling). I think 'deja vu' fits into this as well, because everything she saw happening to her, is something she did to Jiu in the end. However, you could also take the MV very literally and have the story as Yoohyeon as queen, Jiu takes the throne from her, Jiu controls Yoohyeon (sort of commanding her as a knight) but then lets her guard down, so then Yoohyeon kills her. So, it's the same pattern repeating itself - Yoohyeon did was Jiu did to her, except this time she killed her instead.

Of what I know this is like a new saga for Dream Catcher and I saw this comment on another video of a player of the game that explains the plot: "so the song is actually a collab with the anime mobile game King´s Raid The storyline in this is really dark and tragic. Yoohyeon, possessed by evil kills her childhood friend and then proceeds to kill the rest of her friends who came to save her. I saw that one theory that GOT ME CHILLS bro: They all were friends (as you can see on the table), especially Yoohyeon and Jiu. In that scene with the soffin first in it is Yoohyeon and then Jiu and then they are switching (and the other one is pointing sworn) - they are afraid they will be betrayed by the other, and the roses that they are holding are blue (symbol of secret or unattainable love). They are both queens, but as you can see in the beginning Yoohyeon sat on the throne and these dark clouds surrounded her (I think it's the evil) and she betrays Jiu as friend, trying to take her throne. In the table when Jiu turns and smiles at Yh she finds out that Yh is about to betray her because of the smile in return and in the scene that Jiu is with pink dress and Yh with black - Jiu points the sworn at her friend, wanting to stop her, but Yh hold the blue rose - Jiu’s love towards Yh, so Jiu throw the sworn away, because she loves Yh, but Yh takes it and wants to finish what she has started - to take the throne. Jiu is in that coffin again, and then the other girls give her the blue rose - Yh’s love towards her and she wakes up, but not in her true self. In the first scene of Jiu pointing the sworn at Yh is when she is alive again, but now she is the evil one (with all black, and Yh is in white dress) so it's happen to be Deja Vu. And then the last blue rose was burn - Jiu’s love for Yh is gone and... we don't know what will happen next, stay tuned🤣 It was the most complicated video ever, but it's so beautiful. literally

I think Yoohyeon is style posses by the spider woman. But sometimes is her again remember things. And Jiu knows she is possed. In the first shot Yoohyeon doesnt know why she wants to kill her. But Jiu knows. She wants to kill her but cant because is Yoohyeon she loves her. But in the other shot Yoohyeon black is posses. And Jiu knows this is going to happend again (Deja Vu) so she knows she will kill her but this will happend again and Jiu will be able to wake up Yoohyeon of the posses/nightmare! Actually Yoohyeon got possessed by the devil when she killed the spider back in fly high. The spider was jiu's spider and she knew something was off when the butterflies around her burned, that's why when she dies in deja vu you can see butterflies around her. Yoohyeon killed dreamcatcher members and she regrets it, that's why in chase me they're all ghosts, yoohyeon killed them back in piri era but she left jiu for the final battle in deja vu. In deja vu the blue color symbolises regret and memories. In you and I they tried to save yoohyeon from the devil by doing and exorcism but they failed, that's why she couldn't reache the portal to safety. So this is all collegated with the other music videos, in fact after jiu's death I think yoohyeon will kill herself because she feels guilty for killing the ones she loves the most. (In chase me she's a ghost too)

So far this plot tells about Yoohyeon journey to sit on that throne... hence the part where JiU point the sword at her because Yoohyeon did that once to JiU which suceed n she got like taste of her own medicine... Seems like Yoohyeon is the one experiencing that deja vu. The table scene it shows like the connection between Jiu n Yoohyeon from good friends suddenly become enemy like that. What she did with JiU broke her connections with other too... Also... it is actually the collaboration song of DC with a game called King's Raid. Tells about lost, betrayal n anything inbetween. If u want to see the dance moves, u could check on the live performance of the showcase... It was mesmerizing.... So happy u enjoy this ^^

when he said there was something about the table and paused right after the scene where Yoohyeon was alone, i just noticed that the sheet thing on the table was red when they were all together, but when Yoohyeon was alone it became blue. The drinks also went from pink to blue I honestly don't know what it means ;-;

I think the tables scenes are a reference to "Last Supper," a famous painting by Leonardo DaVinci which depicts the last time Jesus and his disciples share a meal together before one of them (Judas) betrays Him. Jesus actually knew he would be betrayed because he told his disciples at the meal that one of them would betray him. He had multiple opportunities to call Judas out or turn him in, but showed mercy. Judas does end up betraying Jesus for some money, which is a major link in the chain of events that lead to Jesus' crucifixion and death. In the end, Judas felt so guilty that he committed suicide. In other words, Judas' betrayal led to his own destruction. If that's what they are referencing, that makes this MV REALLY interesting to me because JiU seems to show mercy to Yoohyeon, who still betrays JiU in the end. Yoohyeon gets the throne or "payment" in the end, but at what cost? She is corrupted and ultimately alone due to her actions.

Now she is fighting against she evil spirit inside of her, but is also having to wake up to the fact that she killed all of her friends. There's something in there about Jiu coming back to life, which is the scene where she's in the pink dress and the castle has been destroyed, but then she decides to spare Yoohyeon because she realizes its not really her that's in control? Some of this is a little iffy, but thats the gist of the story. Dreamcatcher be on that dark shit. PLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEASE GIVE THEM THAT FIRST WIN YALL
