Como Neverland este Comeback fue muy importante,este cb fue después que salió soojin y regresaron como 5 miembros después de 1 año de hiatus. Todos pensaban que ellas ya no regresarían pero GIDLE regresó más fuerte que nunca y fue una alegría para Neverland que nunca dejo de apoyarlas. Ah, TOMBOY... this one is a story and a half. Let me set the stage: I-DLE goes on an indefinite hiatus due to a controversy that resulted in one of the members (Soojin, their main dancer) leaving the group, so when its announced that the 6-member group would become a 5-member group, the fandom is completely devastated - the group, understandably, even more so. Soyeon sits down and comes to the conclusion that if this next comeback isn't successful, their career as a group could be over. What does she do? Not what most people would do, playing it safe. No, she names the album of what, again, could have become their last comeback "I NEVER DIE", and writes a feminist, pride anthem during a time when an anti-feminist, traditional-conservative is elected President of Korea. The song's lyrics even alluding to the injustice inextricably linked to the very controversy that took one of their members from them. The girls all trust their leader who has led them this far, and agree that this song is the right thing to do... However, the timing of the release somehow got even more unfortunate. It went up against a Red Velvet comeback, a song featuring the popularity-without-parallel IU, a comeback by legendary 3rd gen boy-group BigBang, even Psy decided to pile on with a song featuring a freakin' BTS member! And yet, against all odds, Tomboy got popular. Very popular. In fact, it managed to score #1 on all music charts (hourly, daily, weekly) for a combined 167 hours, placing it as the 10th song with most PAKs (Perfect All-Kills) in Kpop history, at the time. Everyone and their mother was doing the Tomboy dance. If someone was just walking into a random cafe in Korea, odds are they'd hear Tomboy. It became the fastest 4th generation (2018 and later) Kpop song to reach 100 million listens on MelOn, and was I-DLE's fastest song to reach 100 million plays on Spotify - 7 times faster than their previous record-holder, Latata... The song had such longevity that its final music show win was 3 MONTHS after its release (in June even; a pride song won in pride month!!) It became the first girl-group song in 6 years to top the Genie Yearly Chart, and is the second-fastest 4th gen Kpop music-video to reach 300 million views on KZbin - surpassed only by I-DLE's very own Queencard. Tomboy was also a personal achievement for Soyeon, as she won Songwriter of the Year at the Melon Music Awards, which had been her goal ever since I-DLE's debut 🏆

Flo, Yuqi's name gets pronounced several ways because her name in Chinese can't be easily represented by the Korean alphabet. So, you were told correctly that the most common pronunciation you will hear is "oo-gie/oo-kie" (the sound is somewhere between a g and k sound). But because her name is written in pinyin, English speakers tend to pronounce it "yoo-kie." Your native tongue gives you a slight advantage, as her name is more like "ü-tschie" (the "tsch" sound is a little softer than the typical German sound....more like "ch" in English). If it helps, it's not too dissimilar to Tzuyu's (Twice) name. The members call her "Zzoo-ee", but her name is pronounced more like "tzoo-yü" if it was pronounced by a German.

Yeah (G) I-DLE views the Industry in a very critical Light and speaks Up about taboo topics and even calling them out on it (Soyeon was like in her MAMA 2022 Rap along the lines of : Hey Mama what made Up Award are You giving us this Year? We Are The Syndrome of this Generation and also rapped this: I'm 25 i'm young & Rich, I raised up my Label (claims Ownership over Cube because without (G) I-DLE Cube would not have been where they are now they literally keeping them alive) I raised Up my Team ( (G) I-DLE is only the Level where they are now because of her)) Overall (G) I-DLE (& also LE SSERAFIM) are definitly what K Pop desperatly needed because so many Labels restrictit their Idols from speaking their Mind and Control as much as possible about them and these 2 Groups basically Make Sure that at some point those Things change for the Better in the Industry 👍🏻 Also this Song has a Explicit Version (which was only on the physical CD Release xD) one of the biggest Radio Stations in South Korea refused to play it entirely so they were like in their head : okay you Don't play this Song at all then we will perform the explicit version at the MMA's xD also on every concert Neverlands (the Fandom) scream the Explicit Lyrics and Minnie (the one who starts of TOMBOY) always has a Big smile on her Face when that happens xD also they played the explicit version on a variety Show and you could see it totally caught Yuqi Off guard xD
