That's what I'm talking about when they suddenly release a song with a music video without subtitles (I think they did it on purpose so that when people listen for the first time they wonder what they're singing about at certain points) because there's a play on words! like "want me as your wife but she is" also sounds like "want me wipe your shit" /Coco Loco or Cocoroco? A lot of people had that reaction back then! I think it's not right for people to listen to the song first and then watch the video, it's not the same experience! When I first watched it, I just sat there with my mouth open, it was such an exciting picture and such an unusual beat!

Some points: -Its the first time all members especially shuhua and miyeon rapped -they didnt lipsinged when they were talking about the expectracions of a wife but started when they talked about not wanting to be a wife -the lyrics is very complicated in korean (?) they used words and phrases with double meanings (soyeon is a genius) -the green clothes are resemblem female prison garments -minnie said in the I feel series (original program) that they will be quintriplets wearing bobs (she was predicting wife) -the world wasnt ready to hear this song

People been hating on wife about sounding "dumb" etc but thats the whole concept. The reason why "WIFE" sounds "Dumb" is because thats how man view Woman (The grammar mistakes etc). In the the song you can also hear "I cook cream song" and "I clean your room" because cooking and cleaning is what many men (not all since man get annoyed and mad when people say man in general) expect woman / wifes to do. You can see chains on their shoes that means women are basically locked up or feel chained in the marriage or relationship and how women are supposed to only look good and stay home to clean and cook. Also as you said: They all look the same because thats how man see women: They are all just there for the things mentioned. Also you can see that the W in wife looks like the money sign for won ₩ you can interpret many things in but I and many people interpret following thing: In many Countrys (also korea) Girls and woman are getting selled for money, so the ₩ could mean that woman are only a product to be selled to a man. Wife was sadly banned in many music shows for being to explicit (which is dumb if you think about Jungkook "Seven ecplicit ver." not being banned.. we love the Misogyny) so they haven't performed it yet (Only soyeon performed it as a quest on a concert alone)

I highly recommend you react to b-sides from their albums. “I Burn”, “I Never Die”, “I Love”, “I Feel” and “2”, all composed and written by members Soyeon, Minnie and Yuqi. They are one of the idol groups with the most good songs that I know, there doesn't seem to be any bad songs

someone also pointed out that the background instrumentals sound like kitchen tools which further emphasizes the stereotype in women being expected to be traditional wives- in the kitchen. Soyeon is the producer, so this is her idea. She is really a genius. You can also notice that they are not lip syncing in the MV (except for the last part). They're just making sarcastic facial gestures which is a very playful way to deliver the message they want to convey.

歌詞には人によって感じる解釈が違うかもしれませんが、ソヨンPDがどの曲の時も言っているように「自由に解釈してもらってOK」って感じですね。 ラップソングだから、「真面目に思いっきり遊ぶ曲」ってパターンで、衣装コンセプトは、前にミニーが「５つ子コンセプトやりたい～」って言っていたのをソヨンがこの曲で採用した事でミニーは大喜びしてましたね。 悪い方に解釈した場合（特に韓国の年配層は未だに古い体質なので）、今回のように「放送不適合」となり公共放送では禁止曲となってしまいますね。 ダンス曲としては凄く人気がある曲ですね。
