I agree. I've learned to put locking tuners on all the guitars I depend on especially if you plan to play on stage. Changing strings on the fly without them is next level frustrating.

Wow!!! I have to say I’m very impressed with the brand. I really dig the white one you own with the reverse headstock. You also have some great chops to compliment the guitar. Great review. 🤘🏻

The typhon with a floyd and maybe some kind of pointy head would be perfection IMO. Love the body shape and bevels on that one!

Both amazing guitars but the forearm bezel on the white one makes me want one so bad. I wish more explorer shapes would do this. Solar is the only other one I know of that does.

I love explorers not very picky about when brands have their own little spin on the body shape I didn't like these at first but actually you know what I'm going to put a couple in the cart in the custom builder LOL

i'm going to order a neck through custom version. I was trying to decide between the flat top and bevel cut, and after seeing yours I definitely know I want the flat top.

He told me on FB the other day that he uses 11-52s on 24.75" scale and 11-50 on 25.5" scale. Weirdly similar to my own stuff, so yay for me.
@TrickyPickins2 жыл бұрын
@@JoelCSabo he must never bend, lmao. I used to use 11s in standard, as soon as I start doing anything with bends I switch to 9s and my fingers thanked me.
@JoelCSabo2 жыл бұрын
@@TrickyPickins I am also in E standard most of the time and will freely admit 11-49s on a 25.5" scale take more willpower for bends at first. I can't speak for Kyle, and I'm not the bendiest of players, but it IS workable. Plus tighter strings give me better chugs. Chugs are the game for me. I use Metallica's "Fight Fire With Fire" verse riff as my tension/chug test.
@TrickyPickins2 жыл бұрын
@@JoelCSabo I had my E flat guitar set up with 10s and they were really easy to bend/vibrato, so I tried 9s on my standard guitars and it turned out I liked it better. I tend to get Heavy low strings to compensate for the lack of chugs on light strings, but my preferred brand (Elixir) has been having stock issues, so I had to settle for normal string gauges for a while. I started out with 11s because the first set of strings I got when i started guitar were 11s, and just gradually moved to lighter guage strings.

What fingerboard radius does Balaguer put on their guitars? The Custom builder on the website doesn't list it as an option.

Depends which you get. The D feels thinner and more modern to me. Weight of every guitar will be different.
