That Balaguer is such a nice guitar, man, it makes total sense that you stopped playing it after Rest, Repose because you wanted a fresh start but it's still cool seeing you come back to it after so long. Met a dude that played in a jazz band and the used a Gibson Firebird (we all know is a massive guitar in size), when my guitar player asked why and how he chose that for travel, you know if it was an inconvenience; he told us that if he looked it as a guitar is a pain in the ass, but if he look it as a BASS...... well, change of perspective is everything and he did had a travel bass case. It actually makes sense somehow.

Much like your Balaguers are THE Rest Repose guitar, the Ernie Ball guitars you've been using are just so you with Dragged Under. I totally get the want/need to shelve a guitar for emotional reasons. I have a 335 copy i bought shortly before moving in with my ex fiancée (with my half of the rent i'd saved up before moving) and the only reason i kept playing it was because it was my only guitar for a very significant amount of time until i bought a Schecter 7 string.

It is always a wonderful thing when stuff comes around full circle. I can only dream of having a signature guitar but seeing this and the passion that's behind having one,it really shows how passionate one can be towards something that they create and use for years on end. Glad to see you using it again. Thought about getting a Hyperion before the Typhon,the explorer shaped one I can't remember the name,was released. I hope it does me as good as yours did you.

There's a Premiere Guitar video, some rig rundown, I think it was Papa Roach, where the guitar player said he had locking tuners on his guitar, but his road tech replaced them with standard wrap friction tuners, because he didn't like locking tuners or something. Kinda funny...I definitely agree with you though.

I'm struggling to wrap my head around how long ago this guitar launched! It almost feels recent in a way because it was a long time after I started watching. I don't remember when I subbed but the first video I saw new was the Lace Deathbucker around when your demo first came out. You're still my go-to guy for a look at new audio stuff, love your work ♥

I feel that rather keenly. It's cool that you were able to reconnect with it. I've got that kind of relationship with a couple different pieces of gear - from Peavey 5150's reminding me of a time never *quite* getting there in the hardcore/metalcore scene, to a no-bullshit PTSD trigger with Gibson SGs - there's some kit that I'm just weirdly emotional around.

It's so funny that I've been subscribed to your channel for almost 5 years now and I remember you having this signature guitar but I could never remember what the name of the company was... I always saw the Hyperion And figured huh this would be cool and a 7 or 8 string version... Then I found a website literally like a week ago and designed one that I'm planning on purchasing within the year or so in an 8th string.. It's so funny that I just now figured out that it's the same company that you had a signature for lol.. Hey Fluff, Actually you and your Balaguer Hyperions are the reason why I am thinking about getting a Hyperion Bass Custom built. But I am also thinking about a Dingwall D-Roc Standard. This is kind of a dilemma. I actually have a Dingwall NG2 and I really like Dingwall but the Hyperion Shape is extremely good looking. Any tips from your side? best wishes from Germany
