In this video we take a deep dive into Acid Rain Technology's newest module the Maestro! The Maestro quickly became a favorite for me due to it's performative nature and easy to understand interface. With save and load features, long smooth modulation sources, LFO chains, and one shot envelopes it's a dream for a live performer.
From Acid Rain Technology:
"Maestro is a 6 channel clocked modulation controller inspired by the automation lanes found in digital audio workstation software, brought into eurorack and made playable and performable. Maestro will push and pull the parameters of your other modules with rapid or slowly evolving voltages, always in perfect sync with each other and the rest of your system."

Great video! Thank you so much for sharing. I recently got a Maestro, much to learn (I think it will be a lifelong modular companion) - but this video gave me some ideas to try out. I love Acid Rain Technology's "take" on performance modules for modular (so much so that I went for a Constellation as well!). Great bit of pride knowing they are Seattle based as well. Cheers!

Nice review! You didn‘t talked about the Clock Button. Works this thing also as a clock devider/multiplier for the internal clock? what about 16th squares, could you send this as a trigger to a drum module?

Yes you can! It could be a clock divider if you set it on square and than use the division function. If you plug into the clock it disables the internal clock

Can it do manual gates? Just ordered an addac manual latches and was thinking about grabbing the manual gates to compliment it.... now I’m just considering this instead

Yeah that would be a nice compliment to the module as it does not do manual gates

Great run through of this module... I don't think I was fully grasping the performance aspect when I first discovered it.

Thank you! Yeah it's a lot of fun to play with, especially if you start multing its outputs

Don't feel bad, homie. It's OK to be lured in by the siren song that is another module. They are so so shiny, after all. I'd make out with modular, so hard rn, it's NSFW, to say the least. It's clear having watched this video that I have been ordained by the galaxy to integrate a Maestro into my modular affair. This has been informative, inspirational, and enticing. I suppose I should not try out your other content. I cannot risk the G.A.S.

The quad LFO from malekko is also quite powerful. You can have a lot of different shape of LFO and record on the fly any changing parameter. Very musical. And there is a level output so no need for a attenuverter.
