I'm surprised no one told you his name considering you said you liked his voice in the ON music video too. But the one whose vibe you like is Jungkook! He's the youngest and main vocalist of the group. He's also the center, so he's not the frontman per se, but he's in the middle quite a bit. Also, for someone new to BTS, you're doing a pretty good job at differentiating everyone. It usually takes reactors longer, but you were right about RM, Jimin, and J-hope when you pointed them out! Also also, it was ironic that you said Jin looks like the youngest because he's the exact opposite! He's actually the oldest lol. I recommend watching the Introduction to BTS video (2021 update) from Ida S to get a better understanding of the members and their roles in the group!

For a BTS novice - you did really well! You recognized RM, J-hope, and Jimin correctly! Suga is the third member of the rap-line along with RM and J-hope (he started the first verse). The "front-man" you indicated is Jungkook (you can refer to him as JK). He is the youngest, but is the 'main' vocalist of the group. He also had the solo part in your 'ON' reaction. Really, there is no designated front-man though. And, they all excel at different things. There are some songs where JK might not even have the most lines. Jimin is considered a lead vocalist. He also has a background in contemporary dance. The one you said was the 'youngest' is actually the oldest! That's Jin, another vocalist (lovingly and jokingly referred to as 'worldwide handsome'). The man doesn't age. lol.... The fourth vocalist is V (real name Taehyung). He has the deep soulful voice and really dark wavy hair in this video (the shot where the camera is zooming up at him). But, don't remember members by hair color, they change all the time! Definitely watch one of the many introduction to BTS videos (find an updated 2021 version). By the way, both 'Black Swan' and 'ON' were from the same album released in 2020 (Map of the Soul 7). I believe the videos were shot around the same time. I would agree that 'Fake Love' is a good choice for your next reaction. It's a few years older (2018). If you go further back, one of their masterpieces is "Blood, Sweat, and Tears" (2016). The great thing about BTS is - as soon as you think you've figured out who they are, and their "sound", you will find another song that totally breaks that notion. Their versatility is one of their greatest strengths. You could also check out "Butter" (all in English), and "My Universe" (collab with Coldplay). They will be performing both songs on the American Music Awards this Sunday!

Paused to say, when you said now you feel like anything is possible, that's how it is with BTS. When you take a deeper dive you'll see how they inspire everyone who takes the time to get to know them. They literally changed and saved my life, and kept me going through my hardest of times when I lost all hope and faith in the world. Since I discovered BTS, I now have hope. &, I managed to get concert tickets to their concert in LA in 2 weeks. Which is near impossible because they sell out super fast. Just getting to see them live helped to restore my hope and made me believe anything is possible as corny as that sounds. ARMYs have a saying "you find BTS when you need them the most" & it was def true for me and my fam. I already recommended more songs for you to check out on your other video so I'll leave that for now, don't want to overwhelm you. And trust me, as you get more ARMYs here we *will* overwhelm you haha! 😂 BTS has like 300 songs, there's at least 3 or 4 documentaries you'll need to see to plus a ton of content put out by them that allows you to rly get to know them, so yeah you'll end up overwhelmed at some point rofl. But it's all done out of love and we get excited when people love & respect them! 💜 ETA: damn you are really good at recognizing them already! And pause all you want, some people get pissy about it but I don't mind it, you pause for good reasons, to rewind to check stuff out and admire them so I appreciate that. Also, ARMYs will watch hour long videos of reacting to them, so never worry about that. Also, if it's too much to take in you could watch the mv to enjoy the experience then take a minute after to read the lyrics. Lyrics are very important when listening,. But so is everything else because their dance showcases the meaning as well, and they use a ton of symbolism in their mv's. If you chose to go this route use doolset they have very good translations, sometimes even better than the subtitles of the mv's. Thank you and I look forward to more! 💜

We are the most diverse fanbase in the world. I'm 49 (today's my bday lol) and I got all of my kids and to a lesser extent, my husband (he doesn't "Stan" but he likes them) into them. I've never encountered musicians who are more all rounders at all aspect of performance: singing, rapping, dancing. And that's only the tip of the iceberg! Fun fact, that concert on Dec 1st was amazing, but the crazy thing is I went with my 18 yr old kid and a 77 year old woman that I actually met in the comment section of a BTS reaction video haha! We chatted in the comment section with a couple other older ladies, and I invited them to my kpop discord (it was supposed to be for multiple groups when I created it, but so far other than my kids it's just all older ARMYs lol) then we met up once in person because we lived only 3 hours away from each other. After that we decided if we could score tickets she, my kid, and me would all fly to LA and go! It was incredible and a fun story. My life has gotten much harder since then, sadly my husband of 30 years passed away this Jan 1st 😭 but instead of giving up and dying of heartbreak, I'm kinda "ok" because BTS is in my life and they truly do make you believe in hope and strive to be a better person! Thank goodness you have your children and BTS, whose lyrics and being in the world offer wisdom far beyond their years. I am a Korean-American adoptee and having BTS come into my life is teaching me so much about Korea, which is extremely painful. But BTS makes me happy on a daily basis. It's unbelievable how talented they are! And how can all their content be so great all the time (even the early songs)? P.D. Bang really is a genius along with the members! Ever since BTS showed up in my feed (probably the result of me watching a lot of Asian food videos) around April 2020, I have been non-stop bingeing on BTS content. To the extent I deleted almost all my YT subscriptions because I no longer found the content as interesting as BTS. Of course, I am OT7, but I have a Hobi bias. Little did I know that I would love rap so much. I love, love, love "Daechwita" (which I think may be my favorite m.v. of all time), "Cypher 4," and "Ddaeng," but I also love everything else. Initially, I remember thinking I wasn't too much into their ballands, only to become obsessed with "Epiphany" (especially the live performance), Jin's cover of "Yours," J.K.'s "Euphoria" (omg when he's flying over the crowd), "Stay Alive," Jimini's "Lie" and "Filter," Tae's "Singularity." Well, the list goes on and on. I've come to the conclusion that every member is a genius. I'm trying to turn my friends and family into Army, but not everyone has as excellent taste in music as we do! So mostly I make my boyfriend watch a lot of BTS content. He just doesn't like the atmosphere around him getting gloomy and jokes around but he's extremely intuitive and mature and knows exactly when to stop joking and get serious. Okay so I'm unsure if anyone has said but black swan is from the album map of the soul: 7. The map of the soul is a psychological theory proposed by Carl Jung on how we can better understand ourselves. It comprises of the Shadow, the ego and the persona and more...through out BTS music these constructs are used in relation to their music and themselves. The shadow represents fear, in Black swan their shadow/ fear is their fear of losing the love and passion they have for making music. It's all they know to the point it would feel like dying.

There are 3 rappers Rm(27), Suga(28), and J-hope(27). Then 4 vocalist Jin(29), Jimin(26), V(26), and Jungkook(24). They debuted in 2013. Rm is the leader and spokesman for the group. If you really want to know then you should watch the introduction to bts. There is well over 100 songs over 8 albums as a group. They also have rap line songs and then just vocalist songs. Then there is also individual songs for each of the members. They also have music they release for free on SoundCloud for the fans. They have dance practices, documentaries, behind the scenes footage, and funny videos. They also have their own reality shows called "in the soop", "run bts", and "bon voyage". Just discovered you today and watched all your videos. New subscriber. I'm enjoying your journey, it really mirrors mine from two years ago. I too initially gravitated towards RM, his deep husky voice and swag and face were so easily recognizable, and I needed that touchpoint to not feel overwhelmed with all seven members. It took weeks to recognize each member individually, and months to pick out each voice when listening to a song - but we all get there eventually! I echo the other comments that now is a good time to watch a fan-made video (by IdaS) with info on each member so you can get to know them separately. I'd also suggest you follow that up with reactions to a solo song by each member to really cement them in your mind. Black Swan is before ON these two songs are part of a cycle on different eps and albums based on the teachings of Jung, a psychologist. Persona, Shadow and Ego are part of the MAP OF THE SOUL (also the name of the album where Black Swan and ON are on). Getting into the rabbithole that is BTS will lead you to discover new things. Their Korean and Japanese songs are all very well thought through and written. RM and SUGA, both rappers, are the main song writers and producers, but all members write and produce songs. They are so creative they even release songs they do on Soundcloud for free for their fans. Black Swan has so many levels ... first off it describes the fear of artists but esp dancers of their first death, the day they have to stop dancing due to age or injury. But it also talks about the state of burn-out where nothing excites you anymore and you feel like you are at the bottom of a dark, lightless sea and you cannot get up to the surface anymore. All seven have suffered from mental health problems in one form or the other and they are not afraid to address these problems. Hence them writing songs ppl can relate to and why so many ARMYs say that BTS literally saved their lives. The shadow is the part of the archetypes by Jung (as are Persona and Ego) and it means repressed ideas, weaknesses but also desires and shortcomings. Hence the shadow not mirroring the actual movement but having a life of its own in the MV. ON is also part of this, but here they have come to the surface and they are angry and fortified and they challenge haters and life to bring it ON!!! They have moved through the pain and are better for it. Funny that you thought Jin is the youngest. He is the oldest, according to Korean calendar he turns 30 this year, but he is only 28 atm internationally. The guy who has this special aura is Jungkook, who is the youngest. He is also called the golden maknae because he is so multi-talented. He can sing, he can rap, he can dance. He is the guy we all hated at school because he messed up the curve he is that good at everything :) But all can sing, all can rap (to some extent) and all can dance, some need to train more than others, but overall all seven members bring their uniqueness and their very own skills to form BTS. Take one out of the equation and they are not BTS anymore.

Yes, Black Swan comes before ON. Just one thing. Beware of trying to identify members by their hair colour - they all change constantly. The reason why Jimin has the same colour in this video and ON Kinetic Manifesto is that they were shot in the same week, in the Los Angeles Theatre and at the Sepulveda Dam respectively.

First things first, for beginners that just started getting into bts rabbit hole video 1. Feel the captivating choreo movement, open up to the music without thinking too much even though you have no clues what ‘s the meaning , looking to how each one express . Their eyes and movement talk to you . Enjoy the Cinematographic background . 2. Go to read the Lyrics from website , unpack each word , try to understand it and maybe imagine someone you know or yourself ‘s past event or anything that relate to the key message. 3. Go back to the video with another screen to read along the verse or each member , see their expressions. 4. Experience it again and again , over and over

Thank you for the effort of knowing the names of the members, appreciated that. The videos have shooting sketches where you can see the behind the scenes. For Black Swan there is the main shooting sketch and there is a version with Jimin doing his individual shots. There is a dance practice MV and the live versions as well. With BTS, you can have 3-5 videos with 1 song. You have to commend the whole production for a well thought out MV from the stylists, camera directors , lighting to design.
