I'm pretty sure gusseted is where the sides of the tongue are attached to the lace stay/eyelet area which creates a barrier for preventing debris and water from entering the shoe. It's kind of like a gator for the tongue. Found mostly on hiking shoes, snowboard boots and sometimes on trail runners and waterproof shoes.

I don't understand why Bronson promotes (and wears) pronation control shoes like these and then he promotes and wears neutral cushioning models. And It's surprising New Balance endorses this when you consider that they never typically do something if it doesn't make sense and when they're whole business is built off a properly functioning foot support system. These shoes are only (supposed to be) suitable for peeps with zero or low foot. arches.

1906s Size wise...wider than 2002rs....True to Size. Wide foot (E & EE) friendly because of where the mesh is placed on upper. 1906s and the N Lock lacing w EnCap heal counter....these are my favorite chillling everyday new balance.
