My 1080 V13 is cool and all, but I also expect it will not last much, like you predicted in the video. I find these shoes super comfortable, but it is strange the difference between the cushioning in the heel versus the one I the forefoot : ultra soft in extreme excess while it is almost as firm as a Pegasus at the forefoot. The heel to toe transition is not good to me. Now I'm worried about how the NB More v5 will be : the 1080 vs. More might be way too similar in general.

Your fit comments are helpful. I'm in a 12 if TTS these days as I need wide toebox and a lot of midfoot volume. The v12 is perfect for me in 11.5 4E (More v3 works too) but most shoes I need to go to 12.

I thought I wanted an ultra soft shoe. I tried these on and felt the side walls collapse anytime I struck the ground off centre. Obviously I didn't buy them. I can see ankle injuries if I do as I am not a runner with strict form, ok, actually I'm sloppy . But by god they are soft, like a cloud. I would consider them for walking though.

I picked up the More v4 for recovery runs and easy pace long runs. However, because it's a brick, I can't go more than 8 miles on the More v4. The 1080 v13 will be a nice replacement for the More when the More is retired. The 1080 v13 should get me to much longer easy pace long runs. For long runs with surges, long runs with marathon pace, fast finish long runs, I'll stick with my Speed 3, at least until the Speed 4 comes out in the spring, hopefully before Boston. Thanks.

i didn't get along well with the more v4 either - the 1080 is a much easier shoe for me to run in. and i've gone through two pairs of speed 3 - was my favorite long run shoe earlier this year

I totally agree with the poorly designed pod outsole. It doesn't make sense. It wears down so fast. The 1080 is probably the best one-shoe-rotation in my opinion. But if you have a shoe rotation, it's in a very awkward spot between the More v4 and the Rebel v3. Plus there's the more versatile SC Trainer that would cover the long runs better. Despite loving the 1080 v10, I can't see myself picking the v13 up ever since the launch of the More series.

After a 5 mile run in this shoe I’m impressed! This shoe is ridiculously comfortable. The midsole is very soft. I had no problems getting a good lock down and had no pressure from the laces. I hope nothing changes as I go for longer runs and different paces.

I have a hip arthritis that travels down my IT band and my knee ends up hurting. Do you recommend the 1080 or the NB 880? I only run 3 days a week and xfit 3 days and just 5 K races. Used to Do 10k and Half marathons but those days are gone.

Does this feel as soft as Nike Invincible V2? I have the Nimbus 25 and find it a fair bit firmer than the Invincibles....?

Excellent review, I suspect durability can be an issue especially at such a high price tag so I will stick with my Nike Invincible 1 & Infinity React 3 for rotation, both these shoes have aged well and still have enough life for extra pavement pounding

thank you! and yes unfortunately as i suspected, durability isn't great. i have ~250 miles and have chewed up the rubber outsole in high wear areas and the foam is starting to lose its bounce. can get some more mileage out of these but they're starting to feel less protective

Personally, I'd take the Novablast for a highly cushioned daily trainer that can handle long miles, easy miles, and has some pick up. Also, the Novablast 4 will stay at $140.

I prefer the v12. The v13 feels more unstable because it's softer and taller.

Love the v12 so far even picked up wrong size 😢 (wide) but recovery anderobic runs in 1080v12 so fresh ❤😊

I like the v12 quite a bit but they are very hard to find in my size. I will likely try the v13. The v12 is a recovery shoe for me but it's my favorite right now. I have the More v3 as a recovery shoe but the v12 feels softer, perhaps because I've used it for a while.

@@movdqa yeah the fresh foam x in new balance doesn't last very long so any pair you've worn for a bit will be softer.
