Let me try this again. I have the mofi4500 sim 7 the worst one in my opinion most folks recommend the sim4 because it has carrier aggregation and as for service I use visible because of the $40 a month once you've setup the phone with he service you pop that sim card in the router and change the settings in the software to let the carrier know you are streaming and now I've heard of this new insty connect. Which may be a better option

What sim card & data plan do you use ? I have same device, unlocked. I know from vendor page that att, tmobile are recommended, but thry do not show data only plans. The device is compatible with mint based on imei; do I need a separate phone to activate unlimited service there ? This is the most confusing part of the process, IMHO. Appreciate any guidance.

Hello I have some questions about setting up service on the Netgear nighthawk how do you set service up on it and what service provider do you have for it

You activate it on the website of the ISP by using the IMEI code probably in the battery compartment you will also need a sim that has been paid for that is on a white sticker on the device and you are going to have to use T-Mobile or AT&T if you live in the US or neighboring islands generally anything that is GSM will work fine, but CDMA is a bit of a bitch though. Also I recommend doing a tether bypass to get true unlimited data and speeds. Example: Regular: 30mbps Down 10mbps Up avg. Bypassed: 80mbps Down 35mbps Up. (Note: I lived in a mountain when I did these test and I will not tell you how to do a tether bypass because raisins.)

Can you test with a Vodafone card? I have mixed results on the internet. According to band specs Vodafone shall have speeds of 300mbps down and 50mbps up. Vodafone on their web page are stating speeds of 150mbps. (I have mostly 50 - 90mbps with 50-75% signal. Currently i have 80 at SNR: 21dB and signal quality (SNRQ) is -9dB). I'm trying to guess - will I benefit from getting external antenna?

Currently the 1100 model is 270 in the UK and the 2100 model is 330 on Amazon im on o2 network is there a massive difference between them to justify the extra 60? I know one is cat 16 and the other is cat 20 but they both have same device numbers same battery size so would I see a big enough leap in download and upload speeds to justify the extra 60 quid difference?

That moment where someone can get 200 megabytes from a data test on and 20 megabytes when downloading a game on phone data, but you can only get 1 megabyte from a data test and 400 kilobytes when downloading a game on literal internet... I'm not even joking either. I have AT&T too 😭😭😭

the speed test was 200megabits not megabytes. the game was downloading at 20 megabytes x 8= 160 megabits.

You can use a normal SIM card in it doesn’t need to be a data only sim, I would go with smarty sim great value for money and can get unlimited data for £20 a month 30day rolling contract

hi mate decent vid that, my wired router coming from copper phone line is only reaching speeds of 40mbs the kids are screaming cos there gaming is pants, quick question ,im on ee (best reception by far in my area)4g contract on my phone n when I test the phones mobile broadband speed in a sweet spot in my living room I can get roughly 100mbs speeds if I buy a decent dual band LTE enabled mobile router and put a 4g ee sim init ,will It get better speeds than my mobile phone or will it be roughly the same,? if the speeds are decent my kids will be able to game better and I will cancel my broadband deal, any advice would be apreciated.

No, it's just a 4g router. You need to buy a plan that comes with a sim card and you put the sim inside of the router.

There’s only one thing that sucks about it. You can’t plug your own router or AP to set up a mesh network. The ethernet port is input not output which sucks! It’s only useful if you have an existing broadband connection and want to use this as a fail over rather than your primary.

I just bought this after watching this video and other reviews as my WiFi and connection at home isn't great. I have an ee sim card for my phone and now one for this router. This router really disappointed me, I did a speed test on my laptop using my phone data and then the router data and the router is slower?? Does anyone know why? Your old setup most likely dosnt support cat9, a new form of 4g, the m1 does, that's why it's such a huge speed increase. There is probably a basestation nearby that supports cat9 4g.
