Oh, Sara, now that I see the house and understand your purpose in buying it, I totally get it and I’m so excited for you! I also am a lover of old houses, ours was built in 1910. That’s not old for Europe, I suppose, but old for the US. Anyway, we have had it totally refurbished and restored, using a lot of salvaged materials to keep the old feel of it. I can see your little house is so adorable and I know I’m going to love it too! Thanks for taking us along on your journey. I think it would be fun to include your friend Ninnie in the garden planning process if you are planning to do anything like she has done, with flowers and such.

This house is built in this shape 1910, but built for the first time way before that. It was a beautiful little cottage by then too.

I'm so glad you added English subtitles, as I already watched some of your new-house-vlogs on your Swedish channel, albeit the fact that I don't speak and understand one single word of Swedish. I'm so happy for you and feeling also a bit privileged to 'join' you in this new adventure. I'm also in the process of establishing a completely new garden since May last year after moving into our new home the year before. As I'm doing this by myself (to a large extent, only occasionally hubby is giving me a hand) it felt difficult at times, but then I discovered your channel and it really boosted my energy levels, gave me new ideas and I'm really looking forward to the new growing season (including growing throughout the winter, which I never did before). I'm really looking forward to see what you'll make of it and I wish you all the best with your new project! Keep it going!

Oh, so nice words from you! I wish all the best to you and your garden! I felt a bit sad at first when I realized my husband was not at all interested in helping me with the garden. He's still not. It's sometimes hard work for me and sometimes I nag about it when I see how friends can work together and achieve lots of things in short time. But then. I am vera privileged I think, because I never have to ask anyone for advice or an opinion, and I just love that. And in this little cottage garden, soon to be, I embrace all of it just because it's my own little space!

Greetings from Ireland. I bought some land in February and built an off grid cabin on it. We also put up a polytunnel to grow flowers which we then planted out all over the land...It's heaven. I am in the process of making christmas cards using recycled paper, which will include some dried petals and seeds. I also plan on making wine using the wild elderberrys that are growing all over the hedges. I have to get started on an off grid toilet soon....Hope you enjoy the adventure as much as I am....💚💚💚

Wondered why you cut down the pear tree? Lovely when it blooms and it's small so you can still grow around it. Love pears right off the tree. No comparison to store bought.
