A for effort, C+ for final product... that's what I'd call room for improvement 😂 Maybe a programmable 7 channel Tx/Rx so you can control it all on one. You may also want to look into your stocke esc, it may be constantly softly braking when motion isn't commanded by the Rx. Don't you have a large 3D printer too? Deisgn your own body with integrated JET engine mount, that could be your marketable product right there.

you can throw a full propane tank in a fire pit and still have a few minutes before the pressure relief vents out, it wont blow up just big whoosh of fire. mythbusters tried to blow one up, disabled the safety stuff and still just a bigger fireball not an explosion because it can only burn as fast as oxygen can get to the fuel

A 12 year old record of 202mph in a $15k one off 12s was since then is been rebroken 8ish times. James McCoy is the current Guinness Book of World Records holder 222MPH in an Arrma Limitless on dual 8s motors. I encourage all car guys to check out and support this community. It’s a blast! Brushless motors and Lipo batteries have changed the RC world tremendously! Back when I was really into RC in the late 80's to mid 90's, the RC speed record cars were single turn brushed motors with like 48 NiCd batteries!

You should have Ty make a chassis out of small aluminum rod specifically for the jet. That way you can keep it within a bit of a roll cage and protect it when you inevitably wreck it. I'm sure you've got plenty of busted RC's that you could rob motors and whatnot from.

A simple suggestion for your awesome Xmaxx is grab some proline tires. They have belted tires available that won't balloon and that will make it much much easier to control at high speed. An example of a better tire is the proline mx57s they also offer a beadlock wheel for the Xmaxx. Granted ive never had a jet powered anything but i do like to go fast and stability at high speeds will help preserve that turbine and help prevent crash catastrophes. Just my opinion and tried and true advice.

@@ronjones-6977 Yeah because the propane is in liquid form due to the pressure its under, so it takes a lot of heat to get them dangerous, but when nearly empty there's a lot more gaseous propane to rise in pressure as it gets hot and go boom, either due to tank failure if its an old tank or from the relief valve's exhaust igniting since the tank is probably in a fire to get that hot. At least I'm pretty sure that's how it works, I'm open to learning something new if I'm incorrect :P

Very cool. If you swap the steering servo/esc wires on to the receiver your using for the jet engine you can operate it on one transmitter

He can’t do that, then he wouldn’t be able to use the brushless motors like he did for every fast pass. Look at the pizza cutter wheels and the front end wanting to lift up. Physics don’t work that way. The turbine pushes the front down not up. That turbine is useless.

Mounting a jet turbine to the plastic body, rather than the frame, was a solid plan! I too like to live dangerously, so I use plastic lug nuts on my track car to save weight.

I got into nitro cars with a T-Maxx in 2000. Nitro RC cars aren't toys, they are hobbies. You will work on them as much as any race car. And just like real cars, you can spend 3 times the original cost just with upgrades. It's an expensive rabbit hole, but a fun one.
