You don't need it 5.11 is a perfectly acceptable height it's even taller than average. If you do consider the surgery, you most likely will never be at 100% or your original self but it should heal and become strong enough to with stand heavy leg lifts, but the doctors usually say wait 1 in a half to 2 years before resuming to your old activities. You want to allow your body to fully heal after this surgery.
