Thanks Angela. I really like those gifts, and it's not even Christmas. -Dennis

Good to see you, and very nice you received gifts, looking forward to knowing how the pan seasons more.

I just used the pan again to cook an egg for an egg and cheese burrito with one of my homemade tortillas. The egg stuck a little bit, but it came up easily with a nylon spatula. I really like that pan. -Dennis

FYI retired plumber here perfect wrench for removing the housing, but when you’re putting it back on in my experience, an O-ring is responsible for preventing leakage if that is the case, just lubricate the O-ring with whatever is required and hand tighten tightening any further than that will only cause problems in the future.

Thanks for the advice Mike. I do have some lubricant specifically for that purpose. I'll try to be careful not to tighten it too much when I replace the casing - just enough not to leak is probably good enough. -Dennis

We have a big plastic 'wrench' that came with our whole-house filters and it still takes BOTH Drew (my husband) and I twisting the damn things to get them loose!

I had one of those plastic wrenches too. I replaced it with a big metal one, but still it was difficult to use. I'm hoping the strap wrench will make it easier. -Dennis

The embroidery looks amazing on your shirt. Now, I’m a little tempted to get that Janome 9850! I, too, like ATK recommended equipments.

Thanks for commenting on the embroidery. I didn't buy the machine for that purpose, but when I learned what it could to I set about trying to embroider my logo. It works great. -Dennis

Yep you were having entirely too much fun and well understood why. Gorgeous pan that will serve you for decades. The Korean bbq is great as a chicken marinade too, then bake or grill with veg. It is pronounced Matfer Burr-ZHA. Finest cookware I've found.

Thanks Jake. Yeah, stupid fun and loving every minute of it. I'll probably never buy another skillet. And thanks for the pronunciation of the name. -Dennis

Thanks for sharing your excellent taste in cookware Dennis. I hope your surgery recovery will be as full as it can be as sometimes it takes a long time. Thanks for the update.

Welcome back. I have a deBuyer carbon steel skillet. The more you use it, the more nonstick it becomes. Enjoy! Any thoughts about bringing back your lazy man meals? Looking forward to new vids.

Thank you. It took a long time, but I finally learned to appreciate carbon steel pans. The Lazy Man Meals were a convenient way to bring frozen food to work to heat in the microwave. Now that I am retired, it's easier to cook something in the kitchen. -Dennis

Korean BBQ Sauce, medical lubricant, a strap wrench, and a non-stick pan...that ought to confuse Amazon's algorithms. The pan looks great, especially on your induction burner! I love your last line, "Tastes like an egg to me."

Thanks Andrew. That gave me a good laugh. Still on track to meet for lunch. Just nibbling a few crackers at the moment. -Dennis

Thanks for the great video .where did you find the updated Matfer Carbon steel pan? I heard about these pans last year, can't find them on Amazon.
@MyKitchenVlog Жыл бұрын
Hi Greg. I just did a search for "matfer skillet" on Amazon and it's there. The one I have is the 11-7/8 inch skillet recommended by America's Test Kitchen. Here is the ASIN: B000KENOTK Search for the ASIN and you should go right to it. I hope that helps. -Dennis
