Believe or not, about a year or two ago I watched one of your videos on how to start a Mobile Mechanic business and because of that video it gave me the steps I needed to start. So thank you.

I'm currently a mobile mechanic for a small courier and delivery company, I work out of my f!50 with a cap on the back and a slide out deck for the tool boxes and stuff. I'd quite happily work out of your set up. Don't forget the fuel you'll save compared to a full size truck. Nice job

The reveal song you picked might just have been the one in the promotional song for the car back in 2012, best set up I've seen though

Big respect for going to smart route. This works better than an oversized pickup or van. Fuel efficient and gets the job done. Respect

Nice setup for such a small space! I like the folding table idea; I think I will add one to my truck. Thanks for sharing!

Nice setup!.....I like it. I know what you mean about packing the tools in & out and not being able to lock your stuff up, but good you won't really have to deal with that much anymore and can keep everything locked in the Cube.

My first mobile mechanic hauler was a 650$ 2001 Impala lol. so yeah. then a Jeep cherokee 4.0 Which I loooooove. Why? O do towing too... I use this bad boy with a small flatbed trailer I can n' have Towed F350s n such trucks... it has a winch... front bumper has one too... I get busy under the cars and on the road too... it loves gas but delivers lol All my tools stay locked in so I don't have to worry either. Love it. Always wanted a truck... but the whole Idea of having to get your tools out and stuff turns me off... When I do engine swaps I put the big jacks and engine on the flatbed. job done. Worked on my Impala for like 6 months... Bought a small trailer to haul engines and such but Realized I would need something better... my flatbed has some sort of lift on it... I have rescued guys out in the mountains... It was kinda expensive for them but worked great. Maybe I will upgrade to a diesel 350 kind of truck, and add some locks or whatever to the toolbox. Set 'em up in a way I wont have to be showing it around so yeah.

I have a set up similar to this, but its in a Mazda 6 believe it or not. Also, to save on weight, I use Milwaukee packouts. People are really surprised what i can accomplish with a small 4 door sedan worth of tools. I still want a larger SUV or van eventually, but what I got now Has been working just fine for a year.

I love that you’re making it work! It’s all about getting started and learning what you need as you go.

Thats not terrible. I would prefer one of those little Nissan mini work vans, with the sliding doors on the sides. My uncle has one of those. He works for a siding/home remodel company, and he built a little plywood deck in the back, with drawers and stuff on the bottom for all of his tools, it’s got a nice ladder rack on top, he can fit a bunch of ladders and his big metal brake thingy for aluminum flashing on top. It’s a pretty nice little set up, you’d be surprised how much BS he can fit in there lol. And there’s a sliding door on both sides, so that’s nice, everything’s pretty easy to get to. But anyways, nice man, it’s definitely a step up from an open bed pick up truck. I have a Chevy express van, and since Biden f--ed up the economy, and my old business went under, I’ve been kicking around the idea of starting a mobile mechanic business. But I’ve been out of the mechanic game for almost a decade, and some of these new cars are just ridiculous man. Super complicated for no reason. I don’t even want to know how much a good snap on scanner costs these days. So unless I win the lottery anytime soon, probably not lol.

Funny thing about tools. You have a bunch of tools but on a day to day you use 80% of them 20% of the time. But, you use 20% of them 80% of the time. Nice set up as long as your young enough to do it. Even working in a shop can make you old quick. Good luck
