Etsy is probably going into overload with the amount of reports. I hope they take them down. My pattern wasn't the only one they did that to. Each shop had 3 patterns from different designers and all are showing sold out now. Not to worry on the dragon, the first one the horns gave me trouble too. Its all in the tension and stuffing. I'm really proud of how good good it turned out. I wanted it to be just perfect!.

I’m so sorry this happened to you. It’s happening on Amazon with books too. I purchased several books only to find out I already have the original. The books I received were in all black and white. I reported that person too but apparently that person is using different names as authors. So beware of that too. I don’t know if it’s happening on Etsy or not but it probably is. It wouldn’t surprise me if it’s the same people because they use the same exact pictures on the outside of the book as well as inside.

So sorry this happened to you, I’ve have been in the same situation with digital files not crochet though. You really did need to do the copyright infringement way as the shop will get a strike (3 strikes and they close them down) . Normally you just put a link to the stolen listing then a link to yours, or vice versa , then add some additional comments, admittedly it’s been a while since I’ve had to do it so things could of changed. I’m pleased Etsy took action they are usually pretty good. Take care x

@@KnottingHookCrochet ah yes I’ve had this too, this slows down the process. You do have an electronic time/date stamp on the original image files plus on the PDF. This will prove you are the creator I know on the phone you can swipe up to find it can’t rember off hand on computer but I think it’s under the properties button ( take it from the original photo you took of the dragon ) let me know if you have any problems as I have a FB group with a few members which help each other out with stolen digitals. Xx
