Jack's are brilliant parents . Just clip ALL the feathers from the head, not just the front. I clip the wings a bit too, just to reduce the length... when the head feathers grow back I keep mine in a group in a loft on yheir own with one low pole perch . Good luck with them...

How do you figure that they aren’t meant to be eaten? I would put them with the pheasant, quail, turkey, duck, and goose. All wild birds that a beautiful in their own way, and delicious in their own ways!
