I'm glad you're actually giving creatine a go. There's clear evidence that it's performance enhancing so it's the most important supplement. Even if it did cause water retention you can benefit from it through a couple training blocks and stop a bit before the meet.

I think the abs are getting sore because u started doing heavy triceps extensions, I found this hack of wearing a dip belt with weight to be more stable.
