Beautiful boat. One of these days ill take out a 2nd mortgage and buy me a new ranger. Till then i have to stick with my 2007 stratos 294xl 😢☹️. Its absolutely ridiculous the cost of these new bass boats. Just 5 years ago they was nearly half the price they are now
@jimmyhoustonoutdoorsfishing Жыл бұрын
You are so right, Brandon. And just two years ago gas was 1.99 a gallon in Dallas and 2.09 here in Oklahoma. Now it’s 3:30 and that’s a dollar less than it was a year ago. Wasn’t very long ago, two folks could eat at Burger King or Sonic for 10-12 bucks. Now it’s over $20. It’s all pretty sad. Thanks. May God Bless. jimmy

I Finally got me a 93sv. I am going to get a 73sv for my console then I can finally get me a Livescope transducer. By the time I do that I will have as much into Electronics as I do the boat. I would think you would run one LVS transducer in perspective and run one on the forward view. Have you tried this?

Jimmy question if you don't mind me asking. I noticed you Garmin products, is there a reason for that. Are Garmin products user friendly compared to other products such as Hummingbird. It seems like now days you have to have some try of schooling to know how to use some of these fish finders.
@jimmyhoustonoutdoorsfishing Жыл бұрын
Garmin is user maybe the most user friendly, Cory, but, yes, there is a lot to running them. You can set em in auto and they work pretty well. But to really get the great benefits from todays units does take some knowledge and work. Fish Finders are like any of the tools or lures we have in fishing. The more skill and knowledge we develop with each, the more fish we catch!! Thanks. May God Bless. jimmy

If you have spot lock on the front why do you need power pole on the back of the boat? Sounds like over kill.
@jimmyhoustonoutdoorsfishing11 ай бұрын
For shallow water, Charles. Don’t want spot lock in shallow water. The trolling motor constantly moving in one spot will often spook the fish. Thanks. Merry Christmas. jimmy

It is a very nice boat however the Rangers are not of the same quality they were before they sold to I believe White Marine which also makes tracker and Nitro and Triton along with Ranger. I personal know people who've gotten Rangers recently and the quality is just not there. To spend that kind of money go with the independent boat manufacturer
@jimmyhoustonoutdoorsfishing Жыл бұрын
I believe they are better than ever, John. Just look at all the improvements on this boat from my Ranger last year. White River Marine does build all those boats as well as Mako and Hatteras. They have owned Ranger for 8 years now and the boats just keep getting better. Thanks. May God Bless. jimmy

My first bass boat wasn’t even called a bass boat, Scott. It was a 14 foot V-bottom aluminum with a 20 HP Mercury. I put wooden slats on the floor to make it level to stand on and used a block of wood up front to mount a transom mount Silvertroll trolling motor. Eventually hooked up that 12 volt motor to 24 volts. Had it made in the shade, Scott. Uptown for sure. Thanks. May God Bless. jimmy

Ranger is a good name, Greg, you are so right. But that’s an awful lot of great quality bass boat and equipment there. The lesser brands are pretty close in price when you put the same equipment on em’! Fish Finders, Trolling Motors, Batteries, Lights, Turrets, Power Pole Blades, HydroWave, Jack Plates. Those all cost the same regardless of what boat you put them on. Our government induced inflation is $20-30,000 of that. Thanks so much. May God Bless. jimmy

You must be going back on tour, that the only reason you need a boat like that.....that is overkill if you only fish a few days a week....Jimmy is a walking , talking salesman....everything is a commercial....of course he could not compete with today professional anglers
@jimmyhoustonoutdoorsfishing Жыл бұрын
You sure got that right, Greg. It would take me two or three months of hard workouts to get in shape to compete again. I quit after the 2019 year because they changed the rules where Chris couldn’t fish the practice days with me! Did win $53,000 that last year which wasn’t too bad without winning a tournament! Just several $4-10,000 checks. I would have dropped out anyway when Chris had that stroke. Spending a lot of time taking care of her. Sure would be nice to fish more. I do like to talk about great products. Really like to hear about em’ as well. Have a super weekend and catch a bunch. May God Bless. jimmy

It has a GPS in it, Troy, so the trolling locks onto that gps spot and move’s automatically however it needs to keep the boat on that spot! Great technology. Basically, a deep water anchor. Thanks. MY God Bless. jimmy
