I remember back in 2006 when the afk timer was only 1 minute. Yep, as irritating as it sounds... try fishing afk watching movies. What's worse was the random events that were EXTREMELY obnoxious and mandatory, and if you ignored them, you'd often either get teleported around or slowly killed. No gravestones either, and your death loot could be picked up by anyone after 1-2 minutes. Don't afk with expensive gear! Yeah rarely you'd see some unfortunate fellow wear a party hat/halloween mask and die... meaning they get dropped on death since they're "low value" items.

I was contemplating buying a full year of membership outright as I haven't had membership since around 2008 and have been getting back into the game on a new character. But seeing the predatory pricing and shit that they were surveying people about was really gross and I'm definitely not getting membership for the foreseeable future.
