Great pick for a new project. The early aero 9-5's are my favorite with the dark tail lights and the big front lip. Plus all the little things they had on the early cars, before GM stripped them to be cheaper.

I just got home from a 220km trip in my 2002 9.5 Aero, everything about it was lovely, the speed, the comfort, the brakes .... imagine if it had rear wheel drive !

"Flintstone Edition" LOL I have actually had one! Rust color, 1999 9-5 Aero gold trim. Always got compliments & thumbs up. One of my best cars I've owned. I think it had 255 hp from factory in Aero form? The Flintsone Edition might be considered a hybrid with a Feet insurance plan? Ouch! Lol Turn it into a RWD? That's a major rewrite of what a Saab just isn't. But, good luck and success with your project. I would like to see what comes of this project? As I remember, Saab was a 'combo' auto maker. The only part that wasn't outsourced was the engines.. before GM put in their six which sank Saab by redirection. Saab was always years ahead of the competition. They & their line of thinking has yet to be replaced.

Hej Jonas. Vill bara säga lycka till med projektet :) Har själv en 03 9-5 sedan svart med en 3.0TID diesel V6 motor. Det är ett stillastående projekt just nu för att elektroniken och motorn är paj. Sen har jag en 05 9-5 sportkombi 3.0TID som jag använder dagligt. Det är fina bilar men mycket meck! lycka till 🤞

Cold degreaser and alkaline degreaser from tershine, swedish made products. 👍

Love your videos man! Good luck on the 2000 95 build! My friends NG 95 is in bad shape,the interior infotainment stystem died,turn signals dont work and the windows barely work,front left LED as well,it has 260.000km and he really love the 95,is it fixeable :D ?

First idea was to get 530d 6speed gearbox and bmw e39 rear axle, but it Will be another rear axle 😉 you Will see in an up comming video 🙏

Loving the idea... But just had this thought, and I'm sure someone will give me an answer.. Will the back end be too light for RWD? Will the power stay where it's supposed to stay or are you going to keep losing the back end when the pedal hits the floor?? Can't wait to find out :)

9-5 has about 60/40 weight distribution stock and making it RWD will move some weight to the rear so I wouldn't worry about the rear being too light.

My dad had one of those when he was in his late 60's, when I lived at home as a kid he bought Lada Rivas which were embarrassing to get into lol "Fun to do donuts in though since back wheel drive" He sold it about 5yrs ago and says he had regretted it since But anyway to make an already long story for a KZbin comment which only a few % of people will even bother to read short I have now owned Saabs for the last 8yrs+ My next car will be a Saab and my last car will be a Saab

Eftersom han byter så pass mycket av drivlinan så kommer de bli ett ombyggt fordon och då spelar inte helbilgodkännandet någon roll. De de kan gnälla på är att de måste vara "utbytt motor" så de kan hända att du måste ta en annan motor än den som sitter i bilen nu.

@@JonasKakarikas De ska de göra, så länge drivlinan är utbytt så ska de gå att godkänna. Har du inte SFROs bok hemma så rekomenderar jag definitivt att du köper den, så blir bygg besiktningen lättare och den kan svara på många frågor. Skicka även ett mail till fin närmsta sfro gubbe och skriv receptet på bilen du tänkt bygga så kan han säga redan nu om de är något mer du behöver ändra på.
