THATS A NICE SMALL SYSTEM SETUP YOU HAVE . USUALLY NOTHING MORE IS NEEDED WHEN IT IS ALL YOU NEED TO KEEP MOSTLY YOUR CRITICAL LOADS RUNNING DURING ANY OUTAGE OR TO JUST SAVE ON THE ELECTRIC BILL . KEEP IT UP AND YOUR SYSTEM SHOULD GROW TO RUN YOUR WHOLE HOUSE . MAY THE SOLAR BE WITH YOU .

Real nice setup. I am not a 24 volt guy, I still like 12 volt. But the setup looks real clean. Solar is the future, keep on keeping on!

At 4:50 .... how are you plugging in a 12v 110 frig. To a 24v system??
@Checkitfirst3 жыл бұрын
Regardless of battery bank voltage,,, 12-24-36-48. Your power inverter puts out 110-120 volts to run house hold items

Im still wondering about the heat involved in the controller...if it would be less at 42 volts then it would be more efficient..closer to battery voltage..so Ill still have to try it that way too..Im slightly overbuilding for now but plan for 4 more panels later and of course 2 more batteries and hopefully thatll be enough...Im using group 27 RV/ marine because none of this stuff is cheap and I have a limit on budget..I decided on an Aims 3000 pure sine 24 volt inverter because I already bought an air fryer and it makes these horrible noises on my present inverter..lol..we had an ice storm up here and lots of people without power so Im glad I have my little system even though the grid is still okay around here..looks like yours is working better though..

Hey, they are working. Its commendable when you work with what you have and make it work. I can't believe how far you've come with your knowledge and determination. Keep it up. I know someday soon your whole house will be solar ✨

I have the same charge controller. I am a newbie, I’m sorry but I cannot figure out what the red button is for? Can you explain what the difference is when you click the button on or off and how that changes on your screen? Thank you!
@Checkitfirst2 жыл бұрын
The red button is a switch. It turns a load on and off when you push the button. On the right side of your charge controller underneath the red button is a positive and a negative terminal that you can connect a 12 V source on or a 24 V depending on what you were doing. 12 V DC lighting or something like that. It has a 20 amp load. But that button does not have anything to do with anything else other than to turn on and off

Thank you so much for replying. I realized the electrician who installed this for me, put one of the battery wires into the load terminal on accident. I am worried now the unit is broken. Or at least my batteries aren’t charging now that this has been corrected.
