My New toy twin commander 680s

I'm an aircraft mechanic rather than a pilot but I've always loved the looks of the Aero Commanders. They're as beautiful on the ground as they are in the air. Bob Hoover worked wonders with them....... Back in the late 60s I had the opportunity to take a lengthy tour of the defunct Commander plant in Bethany, OK. It was very fascinating to see so many at once and to watch many of the labor processes used in the manufacture and assembly of them. Congrats!

Exciting to see the old gal cared for! Truly an elegant bird, it was the Lear Jet of its time, artfully designed and screams like a Ferrari indie stacked into augmenter tubes from those geared 480's. Now for the care and feeding..

Those Lycoming GSO 480 s are the most expensive engines still flying…sound great at 3400 rpms on takeoff…!!!

I actually watched this video when I was getting mine. I just ran across the video of you flying it so awesome job getting one out of the field. I don't know what it is about these planes but they seem to be left forever just sitting.

Not so much on the fuel part, Aprox 36gph, my old 310 was 25 gph, but it is a trade for room and comfort just a little faster
