Having never been IN a Turbo Commander it's odd that it has become my favorite "I've gotta have one airplane"... Love the speed, the utility, the look.... Now, if that Lotto number will just come through.... Thank you so much for all the video...

Great video's. Impressive Arizona skies. Enjoy watching and hearing the Garretts work.

Wow--there are some beautiful shots. I enjoy seeing the Arizona desert from your 'Commander.' I used to ride quite a bit in a company F-27, and I always liked seeing the gear operation, and watching the mains settle onto the runway. Nice landings in your bird!

I love the T commander. Prob my fave T-Prop. Never got to fly one but I have time in its baby brother, the Aerostar in the 80s. Then flew airline and retired. Then flew BizJets for a bit. Lost my damn medical last week and I am angry as hell. This sucks. Thanks for the excellent vid.

Tim, Hope you are well on the way to recovery....I came across a video of yours that I must of missed Safford to Tucson ...It was excellent especially as I really like trying to do MFS2020 sim flying perfectly with navigation, approaches etc.. It would be great once you are back and flying for you to record some flights especially with flight simmers in mind as its wonderful to follow a professional pilot like yourself. Have a truly fabulous Christmas. and A Happy New Year! " Lang May your lum reek" Scottish saying.. Long may your Chimney pour out smoke.

Is this plane private or charter? I see in Flightradar it flies a lot between Tucson and Stafford. I'm just curious. N45AZ I meant.
@FlyingWildAZ2 жыл бұрын
N45AZ is a MEDEVAC aircraft serving the town of Safford and flying to hospitals in Tucson and Phoenix.

Tim, phenomenal shots of the Commander! I am currently a flight instructor in AZ with 950 hours, and very interested in medevac! Are there any steps you recommend I take, or companies to stay away from? Also glad to know you are doing well after the c150 accident!
@FlyingWildAZ Жыл бұрын
Thank you so much. Feeling great and back to flying. Most medevac outfits are gonna want you to have an ATP and some will want 250 hours of turbine time and 25 hours of twin. These requirements are not hard and fast (more insurance req then FAA) in many cases and can be waived given the right circumstances. Because we are such a small community a company's reputation is like a pilots reputation, its out there and easily discovered if one looks or asks around. Because your single pilot IFR the main thing you want to be drilling down on (after you determine the schedule fits your lifestyle and the maintenance program is top notch) is how the company approaches a pilots go/no-go decision making with regards to weather. Steer away from those that try pressure you to go when you know you shouldn't. That should be the primary driver in who you choose because we want you to live a long and happy life!

How does the Commander handle vs King Airs, or MU2, Conquest 2, and P180?
@FlyingWildAZ Жыл бұрын
I am working on a video to compare the King Air 200 to the Commander, but our King Air has been down for awhile so that video is on hold for the moment.

@@FlyingWildAZ Can you also show the luggage compartment and other amenities on this aircraft. There are almost ZERO videos actually doing a full walk around showing all the features and compartments...
