Thanks Roland, I loved my little Transit connect, really sad when I sold it. This new Van is my only driver now as the car went as well. A years worth of saving got there in the end. Kirk was the first choice as it’s called a Spartan Gt model….kinda works I guess. Always name my vehicles 😂. Yes these portapottis are great, didn’t really have space for one in the other Van. ATB Steve 😃👍

New van looks ace mate, much better than an overpriced VW any day mate. Just one thing when you put the awning up be sure to leave one corner a bit lower that the other so that if it rains the water can run off and not create a big puddle in the awning which can tear it, always a good idea to wind it back it at night though too mate👍

Hi Steve, great van. We had a VWT6 and it was style over function. They do hold their price well, had it for two years and got what we paid for it when we sold to get an Adria 640sgx bigger and more comfort . But the Ford is bigger than the VW and I bet it drives better, much better value for money and looks nicer, the VW looks dated. But it has a cult following from way back??

Very nice Steve . Your right , I know Fords are not cheap either these days , but the price of a Volkswagen is ridiculous. Also the lead time on one . Premium price for intensional’ scarcity’ . Enjoy Pal. Ps . At least you didn’t sell your bike .

U was aloud to stay at that car park with fridge. They used the fridge as you obstruction to get it out but if you moved ur van out the way you was still able to park. Unles it says you can’t sleep then u can stay anywhere don’t be fooled know the law

Nice van Steve! I have a couple of VWs and I've got to say the whole crap hanging from the mirror and "dub" nonsense is quite embarrassing! I needed 4WD so VW was the only real option - I have quite a few places around there I've found over the years that I pop to in my van that are unadvertised farms that will let people camp, but I like to camp year round and most of these places aren't really accessible in the wet months. That said, I'll add this site to my list, it looks like it will do the trick!

@@stevebutler7156 The all terrain tyres are definitely en vogue at the minute, but they have got me out of a bind plenty of times. Suitable tyres of a 2WD will outperform a 4WD with summer tyres on in most cases, as I found out to my benefit when we had that surprise 12" of snow earlier this year and I was out camping at Parsley Hay, I drove home passing stuck BMW X5s and range rovers in my 3.2 tonne motorhome
