Hey Abu nice to come across your page today, I've been dabbling in Darlington to so it's nice to see fellow londoner putting in the work in the same area. Why Darlo? What made you invest in Darlington? Would be nice to touch base sometime, keep it the KZbin videos

Top BTL youtuber 100%. Great job. This video is not complete without numbers. How long did it take you to refurb, how long did it take to find a tenant, agent fees, insurance premium....etc. everything please :)

Numbers will follow. The refurb was completed only 10 days ago. Last week we found a tenant and their application is going through reference checks. Once the property is let, I'll make a final video showing the numbers of the full deal. The main thing is to watch all the videos in the playlist, showing the full process, start to finish of identifying, buying, refurbing and then letting out the property....in today's market. I'll also explain why I didn't do a BRR (buy, refurb, refinance), right off the bat.

Welcome to the channel. I lived in India for 3 years and last visited there in 2019. The weather was fantastic. The fruit was fantastic (much better than what we have in England). And fruit and vegetables were so cheap in India.

Great videos, you’re doing exactly what I want to do. I’m 22 and in my second last year of university and am hoping on getting into property investing. I’ve been contributing in a LISA to try and get as much help as possible with buying my first property which I hope to do with my girlfriend within the next 5 years. I’m planning on getting a job in London and buying a house within commutable distance ideally with 3 or 4 bedrooms to let out to tenants or friends to pay for the morgage. My question to you is; would it be better to rent in the area we hope to buy a house in for a while, work and build up the funds to buy a place or alternatively live at home with parents (who don’t live commutable distance to london). The second option would mean I couldn’t commute to london so would be working a lower paying job likely not in the field i wish to work in. I would love to get to a stage where both of us can work part time while property investing on the side. Keep up this good content. :))

Sorry for the late reply - this one slipped through the net. If your parents don't live a commutable distance to London and living there will essentially take you away from your chosen career path - this isn't a good solution. How about you both rent a place in Luton. This is about a 25 minute train ride into Central London. Luton (LU1) has 1 bed flats you can rent for around £650-ish, for 2 people. That's about the cheapest place which would allow you to commute into London. This will also allow you to save up the maximum amount of money for the property you eventually hope to buy.

Hey maybe also look into save to buy schemes if you want to buy to live in.

Hi so did you refurb and then remortgage to get your money back out so you can use money for next property… if not how do you generate funds for the next BTL?
@joannal2721 Жыл бұрын
I just saw your reply regarding to another commenter that you didn’t BRR. Did you BRR on first prop? I am just getting started with first purchase and not sure what to do as I’d like to get started with building my portfolio without having to wait too long to get enough money for the next one…

Slumlords taking advantage of the less fortunate. The UK needs rent controls and restrictions on multiple property ownership.
@improveyourfinances2 жыл бұрын
Slumlords? In Wales, they Govt has added taxes which means that private landlords are getting out of the Welsh market. The result? Rents are rising at ridiculous levels. So, if private landlords sell up (which many are), expect rents to increase rapidly. I assume you don't want rents to rise rapidly in England....or maybe you do? www.thenational.wales/news/19909797.housing-crisis-wales-sees-third-highest-rent-increase-uk/

you really like that road huh

Hahaha. In a nutshell, follow the adage: Pick the worst condition property, on the best road. You can change the external/internal specs of the property....but you can't change the road.
