One of the many many many things I love about this series is that even though she's the 'villainess' she still becomes friends with the heroine! SO many villainess isekais make the og heroine evil or backstabbing, but in this series Maria is actually just as kind and sweet as she was portrayed. Writers need to realize you don't need to make the og heroine evil to get us to like the mc.

Interestingly enough, it has been recorded that head injuries can cause changes in one's personality. It would be interesting to see this story take place in a modern-day setting where the main character remembers their past life and changes their personality as a result, but everyone else brushes it off as the brain forming new neural pathways.

Also, I absolutely adore the scene where Katarina breaks down Keith's door with the axe. As epic as it is in it's own right, the symbolism of Katarina breaking down the mental barriers that Keith put up as a defense mechanism by breaking the door down, taking his hands, and guiding him into the light and a happier future, are so powerful, and easily make Katarina my favorite isekai protagonist out of any other I've seen so far.

I rewatched at least 20 anime series more than once and some even up to 5 to 10 time or more and still some don’t get boring and I’m not talking about 12 episodes only some I rewatch are 24 or 25 episodes some are even multiple seasons hell I even rewatched every episode of Pokémon from season 1 episode 1 to the last episode of Pokémon x and y which is kalos once or twice and I watched the entirety of naruto shipudden twice and some series where they have 12 episode but every episode is 45 minutes long so around 8 hours in total i rewatched it about 4 or 5 times so I’m not sure you have found a anime that you really enjoy if you can’t watch it more than once and at least 3 or 4 times If you can watch an anime at least 2 times without finding it boring you like hit if you can watch it 4 or more times then you love it that’s how you decide how much you love an anime in order

she was only mean to those "inferior" to her and thus outside her mother radar, who would not report her anyway because she was a noble. She would be a lot less physical and a lot more ladylike. Her mother was also desperate because of her husband supposed illicit relationship (from which Keith came and that was only addressed because of Bakarina's memory). Her bullying of Keith would be condoned for the aforementioned reason. And she would be lovey-dovey with Geordo instead of continually embarrass herself in front of the royal family. her father adored her and let her do anything she wanted even more than before because he was afraid of losing her just like he had lost his wife (the Keith misunderstanding). and thanks to her social position lots of other people would back her up even if she lied to her mother and shifted the blame on someone else.

Without that initial betrayal and the subsequent bonds Naofumi makes with his few friends it’s possible he wouldn’t be nearly as strong as he needs to be. Granted, if this hypothetical isekai-Malty had knowledge of the future like Bakarina maybe she’d be able to work something out, but Bakarina clearly isn’t very clever.

What happens in the spin off doesn't differ much from the original so there is hardly any point in my opinion. If the events from the spin off were more interesting like the capture targets having a harder time trusting her or her conviction event/her receiving actual punishment for previously bullying Maria, then maybe its worth its own series/movie.
